Can anyone recommend a universal remote control for PSA products and other brands (Grimm for example)?
If you buy an LG TV the remote will randomly adjust your stereo. Just kidding. I actually want to know some possible answers…
I’d love it if there was a remote with only two buttons: Volume up and volume down.
I bought this cheap remote from Amazon, and I think it can control MU2 at least:
Philips Universal Remote Control Replacement for Samsung, Vizio, LG, Sony, Sharp, Roku, Apple TV, RCA, Panasonic, Smart TVs, Streaming Players, Blu-ray, DVD, Simple Setup, 3 Device, Blue, SRP3249B/27 Amazon.com: Philips Universal Remote Control Replacement for Samsung, Vizio, LG, Sony, Sharp, Roku, Apple TV, RCA, Panasonic, Smart TVs, Streaming Players, Blu-ray, DVD, Simple Setup, 3 Device, Blue, SRP3249B/27 : Electronics
I setup a remote for my MU1. I never used it. I haven’t bothered with the MU2. The web interface works fine as does the Roon remote app.
In my case I have CD input to its pre, so a remote to change inputs is easier than using the top disk of MU2.
I had the same issue initially. Download the MU2 app to your phone. From there you can control inputs, volume, and other stuff. Like Al said, you don’t need to engage the disk much, if at all.
Okay, now I got it and will try!
I used the PS Audio Strata remote for the MU2, it’s working fine.
The web Interface is just fine for that. It isn’t an app, it’s just the IP address of the MU2 opened with any web browser. I keep it open in a tab on my iPad.
Yes, I figured it out! I may have to return the remote when it’s here.
The web interface negates the need for the disc on top or a remote. The disc on top is a fine base for my Darth Vader light though.
The need to change the input selection is a good chance to occasionally stand up, that is a beneficial practice to improve your appetite before dinner, to improve golf performance and to remember to say hello to other humans around in the house!
I have a Logitech Harmony for home theater. I’m sure I could program for two channel also. I didn’t realize it was discontinued but is still supported by Logitech.
$414 for a remote? I ordered one for $9 that can do the same thing I’m sure. I don’t think it will degrade the SQ😆
In fact I don’t even need it anymore.
I saw there is no need for the remote. Good news. I paid $125 for mine $400 is a little steep to say the least.
You will pay $600 for a fuse but $414 for a remote is absurd?
Only if I could plug in the remote and improve the sound, then it’s worth it,
I recently found that the two $600 fuses seem to make my system sound worse, although I have not try it in MU2 yet, but it needs a fast fuse. I like the $300 fuse much better lately and may get another one for it.
