I don’t know if urologists are still telling men to “take your time, it’s slow growing”. If so, that’s advice to ignore. Ask me how I know. On second thought, don’t ask.

Absolutely! In most cases, prostate cancer is highly treatable - IF DETECTED EARLY! Unfortunately, it’s usually symptom-free until it’s too late. As a prostate cancer survivor I know this first hand.

“Active Surveillance” can be a viable option but depends on the circumstances e.g., age, family history, Gleason score, etc. The key is the “active” part - regular tests like PSA. In my case, family history wasn’t in my favor so a more radical approach was taken.
