Early days. He would be talking out of turn/making schtuff up to say anything about it at this point. Given the review queue a Stereophile reviewer has, IF he reviews it, it could easily be next year before it is written up.
I like the word âschtuffâ, what does it mean? Beefcreation?
Forum software no longer allows swear wordsđ¤ˇđťââď¸
Itâs a contraction of sht (or scht) and stuff
ThanksâŚI should have got that but didnât
Ok, I should have known ⌠I will say he certainly could give a complete system evaluation. He probably knows the records far better than us mere mortals and he knows how they sound on his system. Probably wouldnât say anything unless he was truly impressed.
A power cord to the AN3. What is it powering? I want a detailed explanation with none of your Schtuff.
Chas
Thatâs an interesting set of assumptions (first and third sentence, not the second) ; )
I reckon that would be to power the 700w amps.
Thanks Beef, I sure am suffering from blank brain. My excuse is forum tripe. Just the facts maâam and I will be able to keep up.
Chas
This thread contains more fluff than usual. It would be great if there was more actual specific information, but it is great to have what is here.
What sort of specific info are you looking for? I ask because this was a thread Howard started about setup at the show, and specifically of the PS Audio room. I did take some shots of other rooms today, but perhaps that should be a separate thread if this is to be for attendeeâs reviews of the PS room sound.
Merely more information on RMAF and less chatter; i.e., better S/N.
K - Godforsakenly Huge (and new this year) Venue. I donât think anyone can say they didnât Get Their Exercise. Though if you were not interested in or able to comfortably walk (literally) Miles every dayâŚjust a VERY spread out show, between the rooms in the Convention Center part, and the Rooms at the Far End of the Truly Enormous Hotel Part of this City in the Middle of the Prairie that is the Gaylord Rockies. Maybe Segway rentals next year?
Or perhaps the golf cart that ferried us from the parking lot to the door by the Registration desk for the show (for some reason, no where near any part of the actual show rooms) could be used next year to run folks from the CC to the Hotel part.
Donât get me wrong - it is nice and new and clearly - spacious beyond belief. The hotel rooms seemed to be of fairly solid construction compared to some shows Iâve been to. Though I would hope so, given that I heard it cost something on the order of $800 Million Dollars to construct the place.
Rough start organizationally on Day 1, with âthe longest line Iâve ever been in in my entire lifeâ as one line-weary neighbor put it. Most of us (pre-registered or not) waited an hour or more to get our badges (they couldnât find mine and wrote it in Sharpie. It gets me into a show in Alabama, though)âŚSorry. Another woman in line (we at least had lots of time to get to know some new friends) mentioned sheâd been the last ten years and had never waited more than 5-10 minutes to register - which was always my experience at Axpona. Not sure what happened. So most of us gave up our first hour after the show opened standing in line.
I hasten to add that the corps of Volunteers did what they could given whatever the Deal was. Donât mean to criticize those who helped make it work.
Great posts, Mr, Beef!
The description of the layout makes it sound a bit nuts. Electric scooters would be a good addition.
And the award for best aesthetic use of heat sinks goes toâŚ
Iâm sorry - canât recall the name of the companyâŚ
Mark - thanks for the picsâŚ
