Normally I’d say send it to me. I will let you know what it sounds like with and without PZ but now I love the sound I’m getting and will stay away from the small box of unobtainium.
I’m already pretty ruined by the Sakra V17’s.

Paul, don’t worry, the little box just manipulates our hearing like a placebo. And the little box is just the gateway drug, there is more and more is coming. The knowledge and the thought of the unattainable give me no peace. I played the lottery and I’m not giving up hope. The crypto exchange has also disappointed me since Saturday. If things continue like this, the next little Schnezinger box will have to wait a while. But I feel a great desire to listen to the other Miracle boxes. I think the antenna on the box is there to manipulate our emotions.
Maybe we should do the test with a tinfoil hat on our heads.
When I can find one in a dealer on the West Coast in the USA, I may try. Until then I have something else to keep me busy.
Did you mention Akiko sticks? I tried three or four in the past, but I only kept USB stick to use in my computer. You will find the Grounding boxes are more effective.
The urge to play and curiosity won out yesterday and I ordered Akiko sticks, which are mounted at the end of the speaker cables and are supposed to eliminate RF interference and noise. I should get these this week. Maybe it’s a crazy idea. The Lessloss firewall to try out for the speakers was too expensive for me. Sooner or later I will probably buy an EMI protector. This is intended to eliminate disturbances in the room within a radius of around three meters. Then grounding boxes could also be less effective. Maybe it would have been better to take the direct route. I believe Entraq also made Cuffs filled with minerals that can be placed around cables. In retrospect, I think it’s nonsense and I should just buy the Schnerzinger boxes one by one. I could already experience the difference with these boxes. But you know that. At first you don’t want to spend anything, you buy affordable tweaks that later end up in a drawer, and you end up paying more. But the fun and the involvement with the little things also bring joy to the big picture.
As my components, cables, and grounding devices got better, Akiko became less effective in my system. It will be interesting to see how they do in yours.
A few more observations with the GP in my system, in hi-fi terms.
Bass is deeper and more controlled, leading edge of notes is sharper, guitar and drums are especially better, a really crisp note to drums and guitar notes are razor sharp.
The GP pulls of the remarkable trick of everything sounding composed and in it’s right place but at the same time allowing the music to pulse and breathe as required.
You experience exactly what Luca and I experienced. Al also noticed the improved bass. The Grid Protector only removes problems and adds nothing. This makes music sound alive and true.
I’ve a lot of Akiko audio products in my system too, mainly the Corelli and a few Castello grounding boxes. They made an excellent addition to my system.
Where did you get that info from? I see nothing about that in the manual or website.
It is part of the Legend. Input from users. It is not a company statement.
Forgot to mention, I ‘borrowed’ four Stack Audio Auva feet to put under my GP which was sitting on the floor, not sure what benefit they’ve brought but they certainly aren’t doing any harm.
Any GP owners who have Stack Audio footers, please try them and let us know what improvements they bring.
I got 4 new footers today to put under the component I had borrowed from.
Driven by the need for more power for a pair of BHK 600 I was planning to rebuild my power distribution. I stumbled once or twice over the name Schnerzinger in the past, but the name sounded ridiculous even to a native German like me, and the stuff they write in some corners of their web site only makes things worse. So I put them aside as, well, you know…
But this thread made me curious, and having a dealer nearby, I could arrange to take the allocator (their version of a power strip), an essential power cord for the DSD Mk2, and a gird protector home. I started putting the allocator into the system, and one day later the power cord. This was already decent sounding enough. Then I added the grid protector, but only played with the two outside buttons, without the additional wall wart. To be honest, I had difficulties to hear differences between the switch positions. I left it on and returned one day later. Just for completeness’ sake, I connected the additional wall wart and put the middle switch right into position II. Jez, I didn’t know a stereo could do that, let alone one I would have at home.
Long story short, I just couldn’t not order the stuff. I needed to return it yesterday, and was told my order will arrive in 6 to 8 weeks. This probably means not listening to music for some time now. Maybe I get some practice time on my guitar instead…
I guess I have to thank you guys for this discovery.
When my Grid Protector arrived I read the instructions and followed them. No wall wart, all switches at 0. I heard zero improvement. Nothing at all. Then I made the decision to follow the instructions and moved one of the outer switches to 1. Wow, absolutely no change. No improvement.
At this point I questioned what Luka was hearing. I was hearing nothing. So I texted him and asked him how he had it set. He told me he had the wall wart plugged in, and all switches set at 2. He explained that the 2 settings are supposed to work well with tube gear, and 1 is better for solid state. The instructions say you only need to plug the wall wart in for 15 minutes once a year. So what the heck?
But, with wall wart plugged in, all settings at 2, WOW!!! WoW Wow WOW!!!
I then switched a couple of switches to 1 but it is all 2 for me. Forever and ever, Amen.
And Yes, Schnerzinger sounds like a silly name Stereophile came up with for a fake review on April 1.
I’ll probably never hear one of these, but when I see the name I think instead of Nicole Scherzinger,
Not a bad thought.
Welcome to the Crazy Schnerzy Band!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, very interesting. It seems that the Allocator made a subtle positive difference while the GP had a wow impact in your demo experience.
Yes, exactly
Was it the Allocator Max or the basic version? Did you order it at the end of the day?
It was the basic I had for trial, but I ordered the Max.
The Allucator is not a bad choice. The end result is that with the fixed silver cable it is cheaper than many other solutions of a similar level.
