@invalid, the old ones did, but not the newer ones. The Clear line is pretty neutral.

That’s all fine and good, but this is a shocker for any speaker cable. I personally had to know more as to why they sounded so very different. It’s wildly different.
They actually don’t sound that different… The Fidelium retains the slight “golden hue” of the Cardas, but adds speed to the mix. It’s kind of like a better Clear Beyond in many ways.

Agree to disagree. They are the oddest sounding speaker cables I’ve ever heard. I wanted to love them as a big fan. Glad you’re pleased with the new stuff!

Which one’s are “odd”?
Cardas Clear and CB speaker cables have extraordinarily high capacitance, low inductance. They sound much different than most…coming from a big Cardas fan.

@vkennedy61 's credibility is not the issue, more his ego (or lack of it), and the fact that he posts interesting and occasionally amusing posts that many of us enjoy. Because this is a forum of fun and happiness.
Of course some people want to be king of the castle and probably have a throne at home, for ego-support. Which reminded me of the alternative meaning of “throne” here in England, which is a good lesson in not taking yourself too seriously. My mate Paul, who built my kitchen, all my furniture and cabinets, and recently did my music room, built a throne for a global musical superstar some years back:

You do realize that Galen is one of the most respected audio cable designers, right? The accolades speaks volumes. And as far as I can tell, you haven’t contributed anything to the world of audio expect arguments and measurements (and I am not arguing if those are correct or relevant, just don’t have the knowledge).

I thought your photo showed you holding an ice pack to your head, which would be understandable in the circumstances, but on closer inspection it is a cat. I suspect he’s king of your jungle.
