Do not erase, but format it using fat16 if 2gb card. Then add files.
Pardon my ignorance. What is fat16?
So you havent formated your sd card? Just delete old and add new files?
That is just what format to use, fat16. If i remember correctly with 2gb card. Also there are other options to format.
But you must format your card first.
Yes I deleted the old file in pc and add a new file. I can format it in my Mameta. Is it ok?
I repeated the cycle of formatting the card and loading 3.06 twice and in both cases the sound stopped after several minutes. The remaining option is to wait for arrival of a new sd card. I am sick!
OK, but I see from your subsequent post that you did not format the cards before you started using them. I’m surprised you have not had difficulties before.
If you are using a Mac you can format the cards with the system program ‘Disc Utility’ by going to Erase and choosing the appropriate format. I’m not familiar with how to format a card on a PC but you probably need a specific program for the SD cards.

Thank you for your input. This time I did format the card twice by using my digital camera menu. But the same results.
OK, but I’m not sure that using your camera to do the formatting will give you the correct format required (FAT). Have you access to a computer to do the formatting?
I use Windows. I would appreciate it if you would teach me how to do it.
As I said one of the cards I used was the one which came with P15.
I think all the instructions you need are on the PS Audio website.
Overview is here:

Details of SD card formatting requirements are here:

Let me know if you have problems.
As long as the individual files are all that is on the card, yes. Sometimes people leave the files in their folder which will not work.
Mac Disk Utility only does FAT32. On the Mac you would need a separate program (or know how to use Terminal) to format as FAT16. Windows will do it natively, as I expect the materials linked above explain.
Right. There is no reason to keep formatting SD cards. In fact it probably increases wear on the flash memory and shortens their life.
I was having issues with my DSJ updating. I was using “quick format”.
I tried doing a “secure format” (warning took a long time)and then it updated. Sandisk 16GB usb
I never format my cards. I just delete the files and it works fine for all updates. As I stated before formatting SD cards is not a good idea, particularly if it is not absolutely necessary.
That might just be more luck than good practice. I had issues during the Torreys beta trials, and even with help from Ted the Digital Deity, I couldn’t get my DS back on track. I had to install a new main card and power supply.
The reason I asked that question, was because that same thing happened to me. I moved from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 and all was good. In doing some testing I changed from my AES/EBU direct in to USB direct in. The same thing happened to me. Played for about 3 minutes and just quit. No matter what I did would not come back. Reloaded 3.0.0 and all was good.
Put my system back to AES/EBU and loaded 3.0.6, and worked like a charm.
I just chalked it up to something I did and forgot about it till you posted that.
Maybe something wrong with direct USB in and the 3.0.6??
I do not know.
Same here. I use the card that came in the PS Audio box, delete any files and it works perfectly every time.
