Sprout: USB Audio 2.0 compliant?

Hi, I just got my GCD + M700’s combo last week :sunglasses: and have been trying to connect it to my linux Roon Core (and also Daphile) with no succes. Could this be the same “issue”? (as it presents itself as “PS Audio sprout”)

I am having the same issue with a newly purchased gaincell dac + Ubuntu + Roon Core setup. It appears to be an issue with some xmos based DACs

Directly connecting my Sprout 100 to Roon Nucleus via USB, and same issue. Skips tracks, no music play. Assuming I have to send my Sprout in? I just bought it new from PSA 3 months ago.

Sigh.

Hey Paul…already reached out to TJ yesterday. He concurs that is most likely a Sprout issue, since it is the only zone that connects directly to the Roon Nucleus core via USB which is Linux. I am sending the S100 in today and have RMA.

I also had the Same behavior with a Sonore MicroRendu attaching to the S100 via USB…so fairly confident this is a Linux driver issue with the S100.

BTW…love the Sprout, save for this little USB issue. All good! Hopefully a firmware update will fix the issue.

What needs to be done to make the Raspberry Pi connect with the Sprout 100? I wrote to PSAudio earlier this week – but maybe with the holidays and all, they are tied up.

Correct.

I’ve tried as a Roon endpoint (Ropieee) and directly (not as endpoint) with Volumio and Moode.

With Volumio/Moode, I get Asla error. With Ropieee, Roon does not see the endpoint.

The sprout dac works great straight out of laptop USB, so it seems to be related to the Pi infrastructure.

sounds like a Pi issue… so you’re unable to see/add the endpoint in Roon > Settings > Audio?

can you see/manage the Pi in a browser via the Ropieee web interface?

(tons of discussion of Ropieee on the community.roonlabs.com forum, but you probably knew that)
