Charles Mingus “Changes: The Complete 'Seventies Atlantic Recordings” disc 3
The material in this box set is far from my favorite Mingus, but there are gold nuggets within.
45 RPM, Analogue Productions
Listening at inconsiderate volume with my Big Amp, I’m comfortable saying that this is my best sounding record.
SFJazz Collective “The Music of Antonio Carlos Jobim & Original Compositions” disc 1
I really like these interpretations and the original works.

Chet Baker “Sings and Plays music from the film Let’s Get Lost” Sony k2HD cd

This is one of the best sounding discs I own and the music is wonderful. Again, perfect for this beautiful cool summer morning.
Just catching up with this thread after a super busy week at work. Related to all this good convo about Three Blind Mice, I got called into the music shop this week to assess a box of what the buyer called “audiophile jazz” CDs. Lots of TBM and Chesky, plus Pawnshop 1 and 2. I thought all of the TBM original CDs were pressed in Japan, but these were all marked West Germany. This surprised me. The Chesky titles were all bad jazz schmaltz from over the years. I love jazz schmaltz, but it has to be good schmaltz. Lol
My favorite Chesky jazz are Tom Harrell titles.
Right now
