I’m sort of with you, spinning last year’s issue, Blu-Spec CD2 in the “We Want Jazz” series:
This version is ancient, I’ll bet I’ve had it for 20 years. Just an amazing record.
I’ve had this since the Japanese 2 LP set was first released. The one that you have pictured was the 2013 Blu-Spec CD2 release.
These came today. The records are clear with no black dye coloration. I compare the AP 45’s and it’s not even close. These UHQRs brings a live band into my living room better than the AP 45’s. The substance, presence, soundstage, and resolution makes me keep saying Wow!! Try these out and prepare to be amazed!
Well that settles that. I guess I’ll need to order them sooner rather than later.
Have not listened to this set in a while, a wonderful group.
Always had trouble getting into her vision. Hey, to each his own. She is highly regarded…but I dunno.
I’ve enjoyed Maria Schneider’s earliest works, but to be honest she completely lost me with Data Lords.
Nana Vasconcelos and Egberto Gismonti on this exceptional ECM reissue, Saudades. BTW, the original is no slouch either.
