I’d go for this if there were cds but I have a DVD and some of the music and I’m good. But others may be very interested.

Found there is a cd version:

I think I’ll pass though. . . I already have the previous cd and DVD versions and I’m not that CRAZY about this material.

I probably saw Weather Report more often than any other band or artist. . . Those were the only times I saw Wayne Shorter. This is one of my favorite Weather Report albums I am listening to:

“Sweetnighter”

@lonson, here you go as apparently it is available on CD. I also have the DVD and various vinyl versions of the soundtrack so like you I’m on the fence regarding this Sunadzed boxset. Fans of Sun Ra that don’t have Space is the Place, video and CD or LP, would be most happy with this package.

Sundazed - Sun Ra and his Arkestra Space is the Place CD Box Set

Both the LP and CD box sets are pre-order direct from Sundazed with a May 12, 2023 release date.

Yes, I posted the link to the cd that was pointed out to me elsewhere above.

So I see, I posted prior to finishing up the thread. Thanks for letting us know.

Sorry, I could have just let it ride and probably should have.

I ended up ordering it as I know someone I can give the earlier material to. . . I’m my own worst fiscal enemy.

I’m spinning “Sweetnighter” again and using it to evaluate the sound of different voltage regulation tubes for the output tubes in my Monoblocks. It’s really fascinating what changing these tubes between the four values that work (0A3, 0B3, 0C3 and 0D3 do to the overall sound!)

Kurt Elling’s Night Dream, a cover of Wayne Shorter’s Night Dreamer from Live at the Green Mill. A nice tip of the hat to Wayne Shorter.

Ha! I’ve the same problem, and unfortunately am out of shelf space which probably has more to do with my hesitation. They both look like nice box sets, and Un Ra on Sundazed isn’t lost on most either. Have a great day!

I’m out of shelf space too. But still have room in my storage unit!

As mentioned above, and ultimately prompted a vinyl spin. A great LP featuring Wayne Shorter with a bit of an edge to it.

My problem is manifold at three different locations, so it has been hinted that I back-off!

Believe me I’ve had more than hints. But I’ve managed to continue my quest . . . I’m a skillful negotiator and still have some wiggle room.

I need to learn your “methods”. Jewelry is my negotiating tool. I’m on the hunt for a jewelry box. :grinning:

Being THE chef in the family is a good bargaining tool as my wife has favorites and loves my cooking. Somehow after the right meal everything is okay. That’s how my collection has survived and slowly grows. . .
