Synergistic research cables

I’m going to make this short because I want to get back to listening to the music.

Purchased a single pair of SR Foundation speaker cables and their IFT jumpers, along with one Blue power cord which I’ve placed on the DMP.

I could rattle on and on about all the specific improvements these cables have brought to my system, but there’s one that stands out, and it’s that which I cherish the most, musicality.
I’ve experienced upgrades that make good recording sound way better on the one hand, but then on the other hand, less than stellar recordings ended up sounding worse. That’s not the case here, every recording from the best to the worst has become more engaging and interesting.

These cables are an absolute bargain at their asking price.

I have the Foundation interconnects and speaker cables as part of a full loom of SR cables. They are fantastic and they totally smoked a much more expensive loom of Nordost cables. The Orange fuses are fantastic too and really benefited the DSD (and everything else I put them in).

Have fun!

I plan on eventually replacing all my power cables and interconnects with SR. I’ve tried alot of cables over the years, some way more expensive than the SR Foundation, and none of them transformed my system like these.

I started with their power cables, outlets and fuses. I use a mix of Atmosphere Level 2 and Blue HC. Super low noise floor, sound stage and tonality with amazing bass weight and definition. Each addition gives you more of the same yet somehow never too much.

I’d say go for it, but that might make us competitors on Audiogon!

Is there more than one fuse in the DSD?

The DSD has two (good quality) fuses. Only one of the two is in actually in the circuit. It is a small size 1 amp slow blow fuse. Sorry I didn’t bookmark any of the links I used to figure out how to do it. You’ll have Google something like PS Audio DSD fuse replacement. PS Audio’s website has videos on opening the case. It’s a total PITA to do, but ultimately very much worth it…

Just purchased the XLR Foundations For my entire system and I wholeheartedly agree with you. What a beautiful musical difference
