System Photos!

I have M1200’s powering my electrostats and I’m very pleased with the results!

Haven’t yet finished siting the Quads; with my right-shoulded REreplacement surgery a few weeks ago, I’m rather muscle-limited.

Siting involves getting the original-Quad steel antitip blocks back on but this time without spikes, getting them pointed in the right direction left-right and also top-bottom, getting the two distances matched, and getting them isolated from the floor with Wagner industrial isolation pads… Takes time.

I thought this is a interesting video on one of Upscale Audio’s firefighter’s customer’s system.

There are not a lot of firefighter audiophiles that I know of.

Except of this forum. I know no audiophiles except of my Dad and the dealer where I buy my stuff.

The people on this forum seem to have many different professions and backgrounds, so why not firefighters, welcome!

It is the reason why I enjoy this forum.

I’m also a audiophile firefighter and other than a friend of mine who is a retired FF. Brad is the only other one I know. But I agree audiophiles are from many career backgrounds.

Have you already installed a FULL LOOM of Stealth Audio cables? I can not imagine the synergy. Never will. Never will hear it. It’s expensive as f

It is a bit pricey. And as soon as you buy it is probably worth 1/10th what you paid for it if you decide to try to sell it.
I was just following the advice of a person who helped me build a very enjoyable system.

Cables do not degrade like electronics do. They do not matter as much as electronics either. I do not understand why you would consider selling them, if you like the cables and have the money just buy and enjoy them for the long run.

All electronics loose value as soon as you walk out of the store. The only way to get something in return is when you invest in more expensive gear.

But it is not at all a decision maker for me. It is a fact I can not change. I enjoy the equipment I bought for suave a long time that it has become completely worthless. Hence my long considerations before I spend the money.

I can see how the other way around works as well buy, sell soon, have the latest technology.

Realizing I won’t find the end of the rabbit hole I feel happy breathing the fresh air at the entrance.

I think you read too much into my statement. Resale is not something I am worried about or even interested in. But it is still a fact that resale value is a pittance compared to new price for extremely high end gear.

Same with high end cars or about anything else except maybe diamonds or gold.

Back to the Monitor Audio Bronze 500’s again… Giving them another go, with slightly different placement.

System has changed again. I ordered the BHK 300’s. One of the single largest Audible upgrades I have done. As long as I can trace down a slight hum I will be very content for a while.

That’s Edgar! Also known as “Eggies” or “Rotten Eggs”. LOL

I’d move the Cary preamp up and away from the amp. But that’s just me.

Looks good. BHK 300’s in system with Sopra 2’s just under 2 years (2,500 hours listening - no hum). Terrific match. What speaker cables are you using?
How do you like the Focal center channel?

Thanks Chops that’s a easy thing. I’ll try it.
