Harbeths sold and shipped, and immediately found some minty local Klipsch Forte IV’s. Moved the KLH 5’s to the basement. The Forte’s have been in place for a few days now. Love em. They just absolutely fill the room with sound.
Not really any bigger footprint than the KLH’s. Same height.
They’re about 10 inches from the front wall, toed in a hair.
The Warwick Aperio headphone system strategically placed for volume control with the foot while lying down watching TV. (Lower right corner ) Michigan currently up 14-3 over Penn State. Fell asleep in this position listening to chanting nuns the other night.
Windows are to the right. I am sitting between mains speaks looking to the left side of the listening chair with the reflective TV that can be rotated to eliminate/reduce reflections.
Spent some time and restored this earlier s/n cassette recorder bought from Japan. The play back and recording quality of this old piece is amazing, even with type I tapes.

I recall recording cassettes for the car from CDs and agree the fidelity these produce is remarkable. For some reason, I specifically remember recording Dave Holland’s “Extensions” CD and couldn’t believe the transfer quality.
Ironically with family duties I have only been able to burn the speakers in. Need a 100 hours and then hopefully get a chance to have some serious listening.
It would have been hard for me to not throw some crime scene tape across the front gate and front door and locked myself in, rejecting all callers for the weekend.
