Paul indicated it is not galvanized, but a different process. Electroplating would make sense.
So far I haven’t seen the reply from new owners about the bottom plate condition of their PMG Signature preamp.
My reply was never directed toward anything you may of stated positive or negative. It was directed at the individual who started the thread In my opinion a thread that should never been brought up that’s my opinion not meant to offend or upset anyone. I personally never had any issues with PS Audio products being defective or not working properly I feel fortunate. I can’t speak for the bottoms other that the MK1 DAC which seemed nice to me.

There has been more than one occasion where my initial reaction to a post was very negative and/or skeptical, but the ensuing dialogue proved to be educational (even when I ultimately maintained my disagreement with a premise, point or observation)
There are plenty of echo-chambers and insular bubbles out there on the “Interwebs”. This forum’s participants and administrators (as well as our host) generally manage to keep things stimulating; and the crowd is mostly open to different perspectives. That’s why I hang out here.
The recent discussion in the “What are you spinning?” thread was very useful for me.
Now that I understand why members are posting the thread makes much more sense.

That is a cover plate of the mounting bolt of the toroidal transformer.
