I bet people both understood your humor as well as my reminder that the bottom plate is not “dirty” and performs a function.
I find quite fascinating that the bottom plate had to be treated to work properly.
So now I’m curious, how were the bottom plates on the BHK components made to work properly? I believe they’re painted metal.

This a Forum run by PS Audio not the Stasi. I expressed an opinion, and feelings personal to me on an open forum - I’m allowed to do so as we all are .. That’s perfectly fine, you couldn’t care less about the poor condition of the lower panel, but I do. Why shouldn’t I be free to express that. I have owned 22 PS Audio products, 17 of them equipment and I still own PS Audio equipment..
So, one can only post the positives, not the negatives, for fear of being branded as a hater. That’s a slippery slope. This Forum’s not your personal fiefdom. The OP posted the lower panel, and he highlighted the condition of said panel, not me.. I said I hope the PMG line of products is a success and I meant it or I wouldn’t have said it because that’s not my style. I’m waiting on the call. Because it’s always the same - if there’s push-back, someone will call out that the thread should be closed… Another form of censorship.!
I’m guessing the ugly bottom plate sticks out more on the black than the silver.

Why stop at the bottom, go full bland all over. That way the bottom panel is perfect.

From the appearance of the plate (limited on a photo) it doesn’t look like a galvanised panel. Galvanised has a thicker layer, to my eyes, it looks more like an electroplating process. Galvanised metal isn’t nearly as good as Electroplating when one is dealing with EMI and RFI
