I joined when the original forum started. This was in July 1999. I saw Paul’s announcement the day it was posted and signed up. I can’t say I was the second member but

Thanks, but probably more of an anomaly. My first interest in PSA was the P300. I’ve been through a lot of PSA components since but only got my first pp last year.

I just checked and I found out that I have just passed the 8 year mark.
As I am sure you will agree, “boy does time fly, especially when one is having fun” right?

Although, I must say that my association with Paul & Stan and PS Audio goes back to 47 years to 1977 long before there was ever a forum or the internet.

Just thought I would share…

Only a member since 2018; but, do I get props for dawdling 10 years before committing?
Yeah that’s the ticket.

Credit for time served.

My first interest was the P300 as well. I pre-ordered it a few months before release. Still have it, in storage now as I think the power switch went out. . . and I have a P10 and P15 and a Decware ZLC which is also a good component, each in one of my three systems. I have a PPP as well. . . which developed the chronic clicking relay disease.

opened official account about 3-4 years ago. but reading the forums for much longer than that. I saw @Paul video on building new music room (with IRS 5) about 9-10 years ago on youtube, and am hooked ever since.

I moved a couple years ago and built a music room here. The power here is not that good so I got a p12 for source components. That helped but I could still easily hear the effects of AC fluctuations. So I bit the bullet and got 2 p20’s for the BHK 600’s. I really hope I’m done for a good while.

Interesting. When I was living in Austin I had lousy power, and the P300 and PPP helped–I didn’t have quite as revealing a system as I do now and didn’t notice may problems when I had the regenerators.

Now I live in a sparsely housed neighborhood across the street from a state wildlife preserve. . . and I have excellent power, 1 to 2 percent distortion coming in–about 120 feet from a power pole and few neighbors, 2/3 of whom are snowbirds. Still, the regenerators made a big difference, and I don’t hear fluctuations.

I think you’ll find the two P20s will set you right.

In my current avatar iteration it’s a little over 11 years. I have been on the forum longer, but I had login problems and had to start from scratch in 2012. I have no idea when I joined prior to that. My first PS Audio product was an Elite integrated I bought new in the mid 80’s.

I’d take 1 to 2 percent. Mine is 2.5 to 3.5 but the PP’s handle it well, 0.1 to 0.2 percent out. And I live in a rural area, so I guess that’s not a guarantee.

There are lots of factors. I don’t have cell phone towers anywhere near, for instance. Thank goodness for regenerators.

I go back to 1999 and the P300. I recently stumbled across an email from 1/3/2000 that I sent to a turntable distributor asking about compatibility with the P300, which I bought before the Stereophile review. The forum software changed a few times, which restarted the membership clock, so to speak. Also had to change my screen name once because it wouldn’t take my original same (stevem).

For those wondering, the “Community Leader” tag goes back to a time when Paul picked a few active members and gave them moderator privileges in hopes we would take some of the burden off the forum leader (Elk’s predecessor). It’s now just an honorific of sorts.

Yep. That happened to me too.
