We also love cars

So after selling the Shelby, I was back to “what next” syndrome. Also the 1 or 2 car conundrum.

I cannot find a decent price fun car i havent had lol. So I went with a fun 1 car.

Landed a 23 Audi CPO A4 45 PP S line Optik Quattro with the most important option - warranty. Lol.

And to some points made above…

  1. I have never been in a quieter car
  2. The B&O stereo (complete with sub) is the best factory system i have heard. Im not going to touch it.

I have always had good luck with cars and hope that continues. I looked at Porsche too. Really wanted one but very similar cars. They share motors, platforms etc. This is just day two so learning gadgets…

Cool!

Does it have the hard disk and the card readers? My 2024 Q8 etron does not.

Yes, SUX for music…but I love it for news and information and MLB.

I have a “mobile” subscription that allows me to stream Cubs’ games (home radio feed) wherever I am.

Close-up view of the Carbon Fiber ar intakes and GT3 side skirts I added to my Porsche TTS.
Love the additions and not too over the top.

So today I passed the “break-in 1000 mile” mark on my new Audi S4.
1001 and my right foot made a new dent in the floorboard. It’s only 349 hp but what fun! yippee!

I haven’t hit it yet but I’m sure there’s a rev limiter.

Some cars and superbikes have break-in rev limiters which the dealer needs to remove once you have put on enough miles.

The drive/ride home is fun.

My first new car was a 1978 version of that same car! Thanks for the memory.

I have a 2022 S5 Coupé and it’s a blast to drive. I had a 2012 MB C63 AMG Coupé that should have thoroughly trounced the Audi, but didn’t.

The only explanation I can imagine is that the Audi is lighter.

23 A4 45 S line with JB4. The car is just a blast to drive … whole different genre for me. Plenty of power and a feeling like you are glued to the road.

Drivers Wanted

It’s hilarious. Back in period, I had a 1966 Chevelle SS396/360HP, 4spd with 3.70 rear gear.
With headers and street slicks–on a good day, good lane, it would run high 12 seconds and just over 100 mph.
It never got more than 12 mpg.
The S4 would be all taillights in that match-up and I’m averaging 23 mpg. The Audi seems to be conservatively rated.

That Chevelle sounds awesome. I have had some high hp cars. The Audi ( along with other brands like Porsche) is quite a diifferent experience. And its that overall experience combined with features and performance that is so much fun…

Quarter mile in less than 10 seconds.

AWD would have been handy for traction.

It’s been busy, trying to finish my garage conversion from carport and I did my European Delivery finally!

You and the crew here have been busy. I love seeing everyone’s cars and systems going to crazy places!

I hope you have been well, it seems as though you have!

Congrats on the Audi! What a great car

828lbs of torque! 80mph to 200mph back to 80mph in less than 25 seconds. This could come in handy visiting @aangen

Euro delivery must have been a blast!

It was! My wife came for the pickup, then dropped off for full ppf and my brother came for the second half and we drove it for a week. You can scoot it up to 156-160 if you take it slow without killing the revs (3500) and going past recommended break-in (which everyone has a different opinion) but I assume is 4kish

Pic from a video I can’t seem to upload.
