So after selling the Shelby, I was back to “what next” syndrome. Also the 1 or 2 car conundrum.
I cannot find a decent price fun car i havent had lol. So I went with a fun 1 car.
Landed a 23 Audi CPO A4 45 PP S line Optik Quattro with the most important option - warranty. Lol.
And to some points made above…
I have never been in a quieter car
The B&O stereo (complete with sub) is the best factory system i have heard. Im not going to touch it.
I have always had good luck with cars and hope that continues. I looked at Porsche too. Really wanted one but very similar cars. They share motors, platforms etc. This is just day two so learning gadgets…
So today I passed the “break-in 1000 mile” mark on my new Audi S4.
1001 and my right foot made a new dent in the floorboard. It’s only 349 hp but what fun! yippee!
23 A4 45 S line with JB4. The car is just a blast to drive … whole different genre for me. Plenty of power and a feeling like you are glued to the road.
It’s hilarious. Back in period, I had a 1966 Chevelle SS396/360HP, 4spd with 3.70 rear gear.
With headers and street slicks–on a good day, good lane, it would run high 12 seconds and just over 100 mph.
It never got more than 12 mpg.
The S4 would be all taillights in that match-up and I’m averaging 23 mpg. The Audi seems to be conservatively rated.
That Chevelle sounds awesome. I have had some high hp cars. The Audi ( along with other brands like Porsche) is quite a diifferent experience. And its that overall experience combined with features and performance that is so much fun…
It was! My wife came for the pickup, then dropped off for full ppf and my brother came for the second half and we drove it for a week. You can scoot it up to 156-160 if you take it slow without killing the revs (3500) and going past recommended break-in (which everyone has a different opinion) but I assume is 4kish
