Only 8 months. Smaller dealer that my friends and I have supported in the past.
Itās not āhigh endā by any means but not āhigh endā doesnāt mean not cool⦠Boba Fett edition⦠Coolest Star Wars character ever, IMO.
Congratulations. Iām still rueing passing on an Explorer, although it isnāt my first choice. In retrospect I could probably have flipped it to pay for an Air King on the secondary market. Ah well. If itās meant to be, it will work out.
Iāve since seen Phil Collins sporting a Panerai. Maybe I should follow my idol.
Mike
Panerai and IWC has always been on my short list. One of these days, but I keep buying cables instead.
If cables were wearable fashion, I would be covered.
Iām not an unbeliever when it comes to cables, but with a system that is fairly modest as far as the PS Audio family goes, would a substantial cable investment be worth it or should I just spend my money on more watches? (My cables now are a mix of Zu Audio and Audioquest)
Sorry. Maybe too off-topic for here.
Thatās unanswerable. Unless you believe that the guy who dies with the most toys wins.
More watches
Sorry. Not really a fair question.
Iām happy
A full loom of Zu Mission cables and you can forget about cables thereafter, unless you significantly upgrade your system.
I donāt get the āmore watchesā thing. I have ONE Rolex and thatās exactly the number I can wear at any one time.
My mood changes. I have many watches, shoes, records, amplifiers, guitars, guitar ampsā¦And when I cease to be, my son will get it all.
Thank you. I needed to hear that.
I got a nice Rolex submariner for my 40th, and thatās enough for me. Itās in a drawer, as my casio keeps better time.
canāt take 'em with you, I guess.
Not judging. Just pointing out the obvious: For many, itās not about keeping better time.
Having said that, I prefer my music digital and my watches analog.
We are strange animalsā¦
A few years ago, I traded my only quartz watch, a Breitling Aerospace, even trade, for a 5513 Submariner because the fellow needed to know that his watch was correct to the second. We both got what we wanted emotionally.
If itās round and spins, analogās best! Funny how that works even in audio.
I sold my collection with only two understated watches left now. Time has changed and I just do not want to become a crime victim because of a shiny watch.
That seems a bit dark, but any hobby can be dangerous. I sometimes feel closer to death under the watchful eye of a spouse who does not share my audio enthusiasm.
Fortunately mine understands my obsessions. On occasion she does set guard rails, especially concerning aesthetics.
