Do any BACCH4Mac users out there have a Use Case for incorporating an AirLens in their system? If so, I’d be interested in how you plan to use it.

I agree. I am dying to know.
I am pretty certain there is no use for the AirLens with BACCH. The AirLens takes in Ethernet and outputs I2S. The BACCH gear DOES NOT output via Ethernet.

Well it is not possible to use it since it needs eternet in an feeds out a signal on i2s. I quickly and gladly took it off my list of things to try it can’t ossibly be better sound than a BACCH-dSP solution.

We listened to Fearless and Seamus tonight, it sounded wonderful. Also Welcome To The Machine, side two of the recent Animals remaster, and Comfortably Numb 2022. All are quite wonderful with the BACCH-SP.

@aangen and @vmax - The scenario I was wondering about would have an AirLens feeding the BACCH via the AL digital coax out. This would require a device to convert the coax to optical for connection to the BabyFace (similar to what is needed to connect a PST). The AL would be used for Roon connectivity rather than the Roon Daemon installed in the Mac Mini.
I’m not sure if this would work or even if it’s worth messing with as I agree the current sound using just the Mac Mini sounds wonderful I was just curious what others were thinking. Thanks for your feedback.

Roon is the streamer

The Animals are awesome on Bacch.
The BabyFace needs a Toslink. You would also need a better audiophile USB between the Mini and BabyFace FS as well as LPS running i if iBaby face t gets digital feed you have more noise to deal with. But a few smsll tweaks it gets much quieter.
I don’t have one. I was at @aangen place enjoying his Bacch.

The Bacch is a revelation. The placement of musicians in the room is like being there, I know that’s a much overused superlative but it’s accurate. The Muddy Water’s album was like sitting in the studio. the guitar strings being plucked was so real I thought one of the strings was going to break it was quite an experience.
