Is anybody else getting the dreaded Roon / Qobuz switching songs long before they are done playing?
Ever since the New owners took over Qobuz and Roon’s last upgrade we noticed that this phenomenon is happening much more often.

Really…? I did not know this was a thing.
I’ll have to keep that in mind.
Whew! I am sure Al is relieved.
BTW/ if you see duplicates in the playlist give us a heads up, We’re going as fast as we can…
Seeing that we just received our Decware Sarah 300b amp, we waited for 2 years and 2 months for Steve to build, so we’re stopping to listen a lot more often
Hi Steve - I’m seeing:

Thanks for doing this!!
I don’t use Roon and only an occasional Qobuz user but … I have been working my way through the PS Audio Reference Playlist and have had several songs get cut off. Sometimes in the middle of a song and other times just the end is cut off. Very jarring at fairly loud levels!
Yes. It comes and goes no matter what I do. It is rare enough but would like it to go away for good. At some point, I log out of Qobuz, reboot my core machine and log back in to Qobuz. Solves the problem…for a while.
Yeah, the playlists combined at some point, I’ll get it straighten out.
Thank you!
By Jove, I think I’ve got it!
I believe the playlist is straightened out now
Awesome!! Could you add “Car Wash” by War and “Yours is no Disgrace” by Yes to the Playlist? Both sound great when getting the BACCH treatment. I thought those were in the original list but maybe not.
Can’t find it
Doh! I meant “Low Rider” by War.
My childhood best friend loved the song car wash… so I added it also… as an homage to him.
I’m having flashbacks of my first quasi-serious system in the mid/late 70’s made up largely of the Pioneer components shown (SA9500 II, TX 9500 II, RT-707, SG-9500, CTF-1000, PL-530).
Unfortunately, not the girl…
I didn’t see the girl in the picture. I was just trying to count the number of cassette decks. I still have my two favorite Nakamichi Cassette decks. And my two favorite Technics Cassette decks. Why would anyone need more than five?
Exactly! Six would be pure indulgence.
I dug one of my fave cassette decks out, grabbed a tape that was made on it, and as I was reaching to plug in the power cable and sanity returned. In this day of 24.192 digital, or DSD256, what could a cassette tape even offer?
(Unless it was a classic Mix tape for some girl! who done me wrong!)
In its day, it was amazing what a Nakamichi deck could produce given the 1-7/8 ips tape speed. They were out of my pay grade but I admired them from a distance.
You guys are killing me!!!
My worst Audiophile nightmare memory:
We bought a NAKAMICHI 1000 MKII TRI-TRACER - THREE HEAD DUAL CAPSTAN CASSETTE SYSTEM back in the 70’s.
AND put it on a glass rack, so about 2 AM one morning we heard a loud crash… and it took out 3 rows of equipment below it.
Other than a gash in the wood on the left side, the unit (and the other pieces worked fine)…
We learned that day about strength of shelving, and how books with decorative bookends can cover up a big gash.
