What are you listening to now (BACCH Edition)

Momma’s got a Squeezebox she wears on her chest, and when daddy comes home he doesn’t get no rest.

It is weird that it uses a recording of George W Bush in the beginning.

Mari Nakamoto - Little Girl Blue

It is worth listening to, in physical format it is very rare. It doesn’t exist in tidal… I don’t know if it appears in Roon.

A tough one to track down, not on Discogs or Qobuz.

Although it is not ideal, to give you an idea. I bought it sealed on Ebay, after coming across me on YouTube.

Red Garland “A Garland Of Red” Prestige/Universal Music Japan SHM-CD UCCO-5537

Red’s first album as a leader. Great Paul Chambers playing here. . .great mono sound.

Finished installing the rest of my acoustic panel order. Then strategically placed a canvas hanging and large wall clock to get enough reflection where the panels were absorbing too much mids and highs to reflect. Tried the GIK diffuser CNC panel coverings but just provided confusing smears. Sometimes you need a direct continuous reflection I suppose. But learned acoustic panels are trial and error but so worth it. Smart set up and tweaks can take everything next level even with Bacch processing, it is all additive when done right.

Now BACCH DSP left channel cross talk cancellation average below 1 dB. Also switched ground lift on MK2 on the Inakustik Referenz Pure Silver Air USB back to lifted OMG.

The Bacch DSP is just killing it tonight with everything played

These two songs are phenomenal. Everything in there is immersed, solid and clear in incredible layering and depth in massive sound stage.

Yeah it’s political but there is some awesome Bacch Music in this playlist. It is not all period correct songs but is truly amazing listening into these old songs with a powerful message of rendition an unpopular war.

I had not listened to this playlist in a year or two and last in stereo. Last night it was amazing how well Bacch wire-brushed off the rust and added infinite amounts of clarity and live sound stage captured in these old recordings.

This is great, especially since we just received our Decware ZROCK 2!

A fine playlist to be sure, it parallels one I assembled with Innuos Sense a few weeks back.
Political, what isn’t political? It nicely follows a theme of protest regarding the Viet Nam war and how our government had lied to it’s citizens. Not much has changed other than the squelching of the vox populi.

True something’s never change and history repeats same themes. What was apparent in the playlist is the creativity and emotion that came through in the songs people writing and performing with emotion and feelings and not to be on a popularity chart.

The four hours breezed by listening to such a time capsule and having remembered atmosphere of that era though a child.

Only missing the massage on this album and a …… ending .

Really the Bacch experience actually the album mixes it up.

No BACCH for me tonight. Just listening via the normal Gryphon and Grimm gear tonight. I am testing streamers and the BACCH seems to make them all sound the same. That could be good or bad.

Just stay away from ethernet cords. Bacch makes the mediocre ones unlistenable. Even the expansion of Bacch can’t help them.

There is zero audio going through the Ethernet connection to my BACCH-SP. I don’t generally use its Roon Endpoint functionality.
