Two Hip Hop albums with very good sound, extra tight deep bass. The first one (Zebra Katz) an unusual one with exceptional sound quality and soundstage/space, the second more normal music-wise and also great sound.

I cleaned my brain with a few loud tracks of the first one after a hard teleconferencing day…what a sound experience!

The whole record’s crazy good, but this track, “Al Birwa” is fab.

Playlist fans, take note.

Good to see Grace Potter is back on the music scene. I saw GP and the Nocturnals perform live in Vermont numerous times between 2005 and 2012. This album was recorded at the Skowhegan Opera House, Skowhegan, Maine, on June 27, 2008, during the Nocturnals’ heyday. Probably the best official live document of the band from that era.

I first discovered her on an episode of “Live From Daryl’s House.” At the time I was almost exclusively vinyl and most of their stuff was out of print unless you found it used from one of the Bullmoose stores in that area. Great to see her back out again after the birth of her first child. She just recently made her first appearance at the Grand Old Opry. Seems a bit more “settled” than in the Nocturnals days. She is a favorite of Warren Haynes and appears with him a bit when he is on the East coast. I’ll give that one a listen thanks.
