Regarding Ms. Krauss and company I have this LP too and it’s amazing. A valid use of that over used word. I recognized it after about 10% of the image displayed!
I agree. It is an excellent album. On heavy vinyl as well…

It’s never going to be summer here in Chicagoland. Around 56 F but sunny. Shorts and a heavy, long sleeve shirt and it’ll do.
Another hard work week in the books.
My new KEF Reference 1s are in. Didn’t pick them up yet. No real point. Several weeks before my stereo can be set up. Plus, my SLP-05 just made it to the mother ship for an upgrade.
Life is good, this Allman Brothers CD sounds fine on the JBL Flip…and drinking Eagle Rare Bourbon. It’s basically 10 year Buffalo Trace for just a little more. Bourbon gets better but not for the money.
I bought this LP because of “Lieutenant Kije” and discovered that “Song of the Nightingale” is also very enjoyable to listen to;
Tracy Chapman’s first at $4 for the LP is really tough to beat. Such feeling and sharing of very personal struggles. Great stuff!
Love everything about this record.
Edit…do yourself a favor and look for, “I need more time.” Should be about where most of us are on this site…I sure feel the weight of time.
Fantastic album. It’s been too long since I’ve really listened to it and it takes me right back in my minds eye to the place I first heard it.
Sounds pretty amazing via Tidal too
I like that cover. They all look like people I’d like to know.
Me too, queued up for about an hour from now
- on some new speakers I think very well could stay right here -
“Stimela” is amazing.
not sure if @Dirk has posted Guy Clark but I’m sure he’s in the wheelhouse (love for Townes and all)…
“Conchita” on a Friday night.
