Very nice!
I like Ars Antiqua Austria a great deal.
I have you to thank for introducing me to "The Mystery Sonatas’ by Biber on this forum (believe it was you who posted).
I am quite sure it was.
This is a great place to learn of music of which I would not otherwise be aware.
I have an outside chance to meet Paul McCartney in my lifetime. Mind you, just a kid from Cicero, IL. My son-in-law is from a much bigger to do family. His sister lives in LA and is good friends with Ringo Star’s wife. There was a picture sent to my daughter with Ringo at her house in LA last Thanksgiving. My son-in-law’s sister has had Paul at her house, along with Ringo, a couple of times. She describes Ringo as very funny and Paul as boring: LA disaffected.
The Beatles were it for me as a kid. Guess they still are; although, I’ve mostly moved on. I think I’ve seen enough of the world to hang with Paul at dinner but I’d probably choke up like a school girl with a crush. I admire a man who ages well!
A very fair suggestion. Unfortunately, since I am less than enthusiastic about jazz, I am loth to try it in case he likes her. Pure selfishness.
Paul’s solo works never did it for me. Lennon, and George Harrison’s efforts were more to my liking.
Makes sense Ringo would be more fun though!
I can understand that. I’m a jazz fiend but I know that’s rare.
Keith Jarrett Trio “At the Blue Note” disc III
Irrelevant comment…however…Band on the Run
Much like Fleetwood Mac was a blues band before the women came along and changed them into a pop band, The Human League was, in my opinion, something special before their commercial success. I enjoy Dare but Travelogue and Reproduction are the real sound.
What a brutal image !
I dislike most music videos as much as most cover art. We are incapable of not making a judgement based on sight. I agree it is brutal.
Cover art for a lot of pop, especially rock, is deliberately offensive. It obvious appeals to their market.
I particularly find amusing the metal bands, puck, etc. trying to look scary. They typically look like misplaced Halloween partiers - as frightening as s’mores.
