I’m a big fan in-spite of some bad decisions that may end him up in prison. He’s playing the lower-rent clubs these days with Kermit Ruffins. It’s more fun in the low-rent clubs.
…just a thought as I listen to 1946 Dim Lights…the more I listen to Bob Wills, the higher up the Pantheon of all-time great American musicians he goes for me.
Gotta go in a different direction. I hear some of the Snowmass reviews claim a lack of bass. Listen to Haitian Fight Song…bass sounds pretty tight and great!
In anticipation of an upcoming trip to Havana. Hope there’s a legit music scene (I’ll find rum, cigars and dark skinned women easy enough). Tourists are fine, it takes money to make a great music scene. It’s a fine balance. I’ll see…kind of excited about it. BTW, I need to pick up an HD version of this. A recording that would benefit for sure…
