Fireplaces and wood burning stoves really throw a monkey wrench in the works when trying to find a new abode, when you:re an audiophile.
Been driving my realtor crazy because most floor plans are not very conducive to setting up a hifi system. And more times than not, it’s because the fireplace is situated right where the rack should be placed.

Yes indeed, I’ve also noticed how few homes these days have spaces conducive to setting up an audio system well. Open floor plans are all the rage and finding a living space with equidistant side walls to speaker position and no fireplace or sliding glass door where your rack would go is rare.
