Yes, we trust our community to honor the musician’s rights and purchase their music. We’re not interested in DRM or encryption. We want the best sound out there for our community. Besides, part of the reason Ocatve Records exists is to help musicians
and maintain the recording arts. Musicians routinely get little to no money for their work and we want to change that. It’s why musicians working with us have zero expenses for recording and then get a healthy percentage of sales right off the top. We are
hoping to help them financially as well as artistically and expose them to a new audience.
Hi there. Just found this thread… I wanted to thank Paul for his continuing moral leadership on this and related issues. Musicians need our support now more than ever.
I can understand that COVID 19 has delayed recording release dates… Is there a sense of where we are now?
Gus just finished a wicked cool album he recorded in DSD of pianist Don Grusin (Dave’S brother) entitles From thin Air. It’s amazing. Our first release. Maybe in another 45 days or so as we go to get the DACD made.
