The swooshing sound is nasty, other than this I like the track
The DDBB’s post-Katrina take on the classic Marvin Gaye album, “What’s Going On,” with special guests.
This is a wonderfully recorded intimate take on (mostly) James Taylor material, though there are a couple of others, one of which is Mitchell’s “Free Man in Paris.” All in a piano-bar kind of setting. I find all of Mammina’s albums to be superb recordings.
Jeff Rosenstock and Laura Stevenson cover four Neil Young songs on this EP. Stream on Tidal in MQA format or stream for free and/or buy the lossless FLAC download for $3 on Bandcamp here. For high-bitrate MP3 (320kbps), it can be downloaded for free/donation here.
Posted this on the main thread and realized it should go here
Very cool album, and interestingly that is the same album with which I started this thread back in August 2018!
I saw his album “Wood” on the main thread and after listening to that and being blown away I said I had to revisit his stuff, liking Jimi I clicked on it. Now I can see why you posted it back then.
Not an album, but I figured Valerie June covering the Jimi Hendrix classic, “Little Wing” deserved a post. It is streaming on Qobuz.
