New remaster from Japan. Wow this sounds great.

Disc 13

New Japanese reissue. Love this music.

Disc 3 of this amazing box set. Fats is always in my rotation.

I keep returning to this interesting project and I have to say I love it more and more year by year. Nicely recorded too.

Japanese cd (Bethlehem/Solid)

Roberts applying his considerable skills to the music of Nat King Cole AND Cole Porter. A clever, satisfying cd.

My Dad likes Karrin.

Niiiiice.

I’ll have to listen to a number of the ones you’ve listed here, lonson. I’ll probably get the RLJ without any pre-listening. I love RLJ. One of the artists I’ve missed seeing live and one of my great musical regrets.
Tony, if you like Rickie Lee, you’ll like this one. It’s one of the best she’s put out in a while in my opinion.
I can still remember staying up late one night to watch Saturday Night Live and Rickie Lee was on, her first lp was just released and she performed “Chuck E’s In Love” and “Coolsville.” I was floored and thought “who is this woman who is hipper than any woman my age or so I’ve ever known!” Been a fan since that night!
I’ve only seen her live once, but would do so again. Very nice performer to see, intimate and interactive with her audience.

Wonderful music and RLJ telling the stories in a manner much like her earlier albums. But I have to admit the recordings themselves seemed compressed; everything was so loud. Limited dynamics. I'm hoping that was an artifact of listening online.
Not entirely, but I don’t find it as bad as the online ones seem to you. Then again my system gives me less problems with compressed material than others seem to have. . . . I don’t know if a vinyl release is planned, that may be one work around.
