subliminally chosen for his freaky ears
“Why is this man smiling?”
Kersplat!
Wow, talk about a tough crowd!
Be kind, they do not get out much.
Out where?
Anywhere, apparently.
Blasphemy! Nothing against Sonos or their users, but don’t they have their own website?
Sonos is good stuff, man. I’m happy with all of it.
Sonos is the new Bose!
Oh my, things are getting harsh.
Haha! Sorry I forgot the “Be Nice” rule… Let me rephrase that…
“Sonos has as many fans as Bose used to.”
In regards to the above I guess it depends who ya are… My daughter thinks music out of a Alexa rocks. (lol). Long story short, I set them (daughter and son in law) up with a Sonos Soundbar, rear speakers and the sub. They are in heaven. And really for home theater, it sounds pretty good.
Anything which provides musical enjoyment and brings joy is a great piece of kit!
This is so true. One is lucky to be happy, in life or in audio. Not worth knocking yourself out over if it is All Good.
If Sonos makes as many people happy as Bose does, that’s a lot of folks enjoying music on better than a boombox or a cheap Bluetooth speaker, not to mention the number of people with an Echo Dot or just the speakers in their phones. And that’s a net positive for all of us.
Sonos was my gateway drug to the “high end”. It brought me into a real dealer (Hanson AV in Dayton) where they showed me what music could sound like. From Sonos, I moved up to Peachtree and ELAC and from there PS Audio and Roon and KEF. And I still have my trusty Sonos to count on everywhere in the house from the master bathroom to my workshop.
So. I think it’s counterproductive to say anything that moves listeners off the speakers in their phones up the chain to better sound is, to paraphrase and reverse old Will, “to be praised, not buried”.
Mike
And as a postscript, I passed on a few older Sonos speakers to other people who added to their system once they realized how much better Sonos was than Bluetooth. And then they tell two friends…and so on.
