Why does Airlens keep running and feeding music when the iPad is turned off?

System…. Airlens, DS Dac direct to amp…

Airlens streaming music via Qobuz stops if you hit the stop on the iPad program (Qobuz Connect).

At the end of the evening, the wife

1)turns off the DAC,

  1. turns off the amp

3)turns off the iPad

The next morning, she turns on each of the items above , only to find the music is streaming ….

I would have assumed that if the iPad was actually turned off, it would disengage the Qobuz streaming……

Help me understand how the Airlens is continuing to get streaming music even though the iPad is off???

This is how I prevent this problem when using Qobuz connect.

1 switch back to iPad playback using icon in lower left of screen

2 go back to discover page

3 tap the gear looking icon on top left of screen

4 page to the bottom and hit log out

You need to swipe off the streaming app before turning off the iPad.

The question is….how is it that if the iPad is shut off, how is it that the app continues to allow Airlens to stream ?

A question better asked to the Apple CS staff but all I know is that if you don’t swipe off the app it just keeps playing until something happens to interupt it especially if you have auto play turned on.

As I have deduced how streaming works (ROON, Qobuz): your controlling app works very much like a remote control. You initiate the connection between service and streamer and then they communicate without intervention. Your system will continue even if you take the batteries out of your remote.
