Your Next Upgrade? (Part 1)

Maybe a strange question but how do they sound at low late night volume?
I love the look.

I ordered one as well.

How do they do it with the silver-plated OCC? This is cheaper than DIY cables from you I bet. I ordered one too. I have a load of cables in storage, but I am afraid they will raise the price tomorrow at this selling rate.

As a high current cord, is it available with a C19 connector? I couldn’t figure out on the site how to tell.

I don’t think so, but contacting Decware is the best way to be sure.

Phone call to them works best, second best is pushing that “Contact” button.

I think this one is just copper OCC with silver shielding.

This is a Decware design, contracted out to a US builder. Won’t be a long long wait as most anything else from Decware.

Does this mean your recent, not yet arrived Gryphon amplification deal is also short before a switch to MBL?

I don’t think he coats OCC with silver. Why use OCC if you’re going to cover it?
This came at just the right time as I need another cable for my son’s system.

Lots of silver-plated OCC copper out there actually, but not in this cable, nor ever used by Decware. In his previous cable, the DHC-1, he used silver-plated copper, but not OCC, and now he has upgraded that cable to a DHC-2, with silver-plated copper (not OCC) with a shield that it did not have before. But the DHC-3 is OCC copper, and an all new design from Steve. Mine should arrive Saturday, I’ll begin playing with it next week (don’t generally get to play music or with my systems on the weekends).

Next upgrade: an LCR meter…

I spent 20 seconds reading the description and accidentally hit the buy button. I can use it to experience with @vmax golden wrapper and tuning ring mod. It will be fun! But the cable will be very fat for sure.

I won’t lie, the reason I bought one was to take it apart and see how it’s built.

Even with wholesale prices I can’t make it pencil out. They must have awesome buying power. I am jealous!

I praise your curiosity!

Worst case, I think it’s just OK and it goes into a secondary system. But, I’m hoping it’s going to be a giant killer.

I hate you guys (I just bought one).

I haven’t liked their power cords that much in the past, but this is a very different design. I’m thinking it may be a good cable for my Farad Super3 feeding the DSD via analog power board. We’ll see. I’ve tried about five cables on that so far. . . the BAV is in now.

Welcome to the “Old men spending their kids inheritance on stereo” club.
It is usually better (costs less) if you dont have the credit card or paypal sign in info real close by.

I was at the Dentist yesterday getting a cracked molar repaired. While waiting for the new crown to be made (they have a cool CNC machine and do all the work in house), I must have spent $600 on a few things for my main rig and the rig in my office. Idle time is not a good idea for me…
