Why this keeps happening?
My Viborg power cord just settled in on my HYPSOS PSU, My Voodoo Black Magic power cord also just arrived, so is my new giggle only fuse, and my Iconoclast 4x4 XLR is arriving tomrrow!
I blame this forum!
Typical Aliexpress about 3 weeks.
Those will look amazing next to your pickleball trophies!
I checked out that link. The nearly 14" tall stands are only $60.
I may buy three of them.
(and wait for my Pickleball Trophies)
Boy, I am not sure if I should be happy for you or feel sorry for you.
A Chinese fuse? Too bad you cannot tell us how it sounds since you are replacing so many new stuff around the same time ![]()
I’m saving the fuse the last, promise ![]()
Yes some LED “filament” lamps are pretty good now ![]()
First few I bought round ten years ago not so much - very flickery and with blue bits along the filament.
I went with incandescent for the music room after issues with noisy LED dimmers (only to have a noisy dimmer on the incandescent)
While at Kyomi this past weekend I admired George’s Gryphon Diablo 300 sitting on the rack unplugged. It looks like it needs a good home!
Time to put those negotiating skills to work.
If I owned the Ethos it would probably be the next step. I also was checking out the Pass
XA-160.8’s at TMR. All potential BHK 300 replacements. Tho I still love my 300’s!
It’s price has held very well. It was $4600 in 2010. It’s very cool. The speed control is cool too.
It might make me want to keep a turntable and records.
I have an SME Type II Improved arm I could throw on that beauty. Or perhaps a different arm. I was going to buy one of these but I bought the Rega RP10 instead. I still admire it.
That’s a tough choice between the too.
SME would be nice on it.
Lucky you having a SME tonearm waiting for a turntable.
SME stopped selling tonearms to third parties trying to boost their turntable sales.
What an absolute pity for the market.
At around the same time Jelco stopped making tonearms, meaning the rebranded types from Ortofon and Transrotor weren’t available either.
Rega, Clearaudio and to a small extend Thorens have taken their places over here.
I have a Jelco TK-850L with all the bits and VTA adapter for sale!
Went through this process myself. I took this photo of a switch before installing a Shelly to make sure I didn’t mess up the wiring, and then got my leccy to check it. The black one on the left is a standard dimmer for the LED lights pictured above and does not buzz at all. It’s the only dimmer in the house.
You can also do dimming using one of these, a Shelly 2 Dimmer, and it also gives you wireless and Alexa control.
I attached a Shelly 1L (costs about $20) to the white toggle switch. It is programmed to control 4 sound and light zones, it has 22 lights and 10 audio units running through it, each one with a 24v transformer in the ceiling, not problem at all. They are very clever little things for smart lighting.
