Your Next Upgrade? (Part 1)

Almost a direct dealer able to directly buy from Gullman brothers, the owners of MSB, CA. Daniel Gullman visited this guy (I watched a few videos) and seems that italian sales during last 10 years are much bigger than the rest of Europe, he said.

It means a special contact I find precious. When I buy PS Audio products for instance I have to buy them from a dealer (I often know more than he knows about these units) who buys from the importer who buys from Boulder. And everyone is pursuing his own return! The shorter the chain the better.

As you know Italians love emotion and quality. MSB has both.

It’s the best kind of professional relationship. Common spirit makes a special bond.

Enjoy my friend, enjoy.

That… is… stunning! What a beautiful design, timeless.

This is meant to be an upgrade thread, and everything posted and discussed looks like it came from the 1970s. Nothing wrong with the1970s, except flared jeans and tank tops.

Back in the day families used to huddle around the radio listening to live broadcasts on the BBC. I’m going to a performance tonight that is being broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, the classical channel, but using your Marantz will soon be a thing of the past as the BBC are phasing out over-air broadcasting.

The programme after looks interesting - I shall stream it later.

I love the big block V6 look and sound of my Decware ZTPRE preamp.

Is there a waiting list for these as well?

TIA.

When I went to pick up my Luxman, Honest Dave had TdeP’s V12, still the most beautiful thing to make music after Kiri the Kanawa (now surpassed by Lisette Oropesa). Even its rear end is pretty (no jokes about dear Lisette please).

Oh yes, sorry to say. It’s one big list for all the amplifier and preamplifier components, a separate quicker list for smaller components such as ZBIT, ZSTAGE, ZROCK2, etc. Waiting time for preamplifiers is nearing 3 years now.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That one. . . not for me.

My previous built like a tank Edge NL Signature 1 preamp! Bomb proof for sure!

Lonson, did you just upgrade your preamp?

Yes indeed, with a list exceeding 2,000 items based on my most recent experience with Decware (September 2022) consider delivery 3+ years out.

Iconoclast 1.5 meter OCC RCA Gen. 2 interconnects picked up a pair from Jeff and Galen at Axpona, have yet to add them to my summer home system. I have one pair from preamplifier to amplifier and these will compliment it with a run from DAC to preamplifier. Looking to open up the sound furthermore with these.

The I2S input of Aqua F. is a RJ45, not a HDMI like PST. Too bad there is no industrial standard for I2S connection.

This is going to be a happy week for me. My customer order of AQ Dragon Source will be here on Wednesday, and the Cyrstal Clear Mag. Opus II cord will be here later on this week too. Both use pure silver conductors. It will be interesting to see how these compared in SQ. If Opus II is close in performance that will be quite a saving).

I wonder if it is safe to put them in series (with two adaptors I have) to break in using the wine frig? That will save a lot of break in time.

Take care of your wine more than of your cables!
