Cool, I am cautiously considering the Heimdahl 2 interconnect. Did you happen to compare it to any of the lower priced Nordoast cables? I’d appreciate it if you could share your impressions if you did. Thanks.
No I did not. My previous were AQ but lower tier. I have a few I tried including a custom made pair. The H2 were by far the best and I like the idea of matching the mfg/model when I can. I previously used Transparent speaker cables. Those are good as well.

I have been using a relativily low priced Chord Clearway HDMI cable between the AirLens streamer and DS DAC MKII. I wanted to test out other cables, so yesterday I switched to the AQ Carbon 48. My immediate impression is that the AQ cable has a more enclosed and darker sound. It’s possible that it might need some time or burning in to open up the sound. Has anyone else tested this and have recommendations for an HDMI cable between the streamer and MKII DAC?
My Audioquest Carbon USB needed a long break-in time.
It is very similar to what you describe.

Thanks, I will give it a few more days to break-in and see if the sound opens up. It’s not harsh but lifeless and dark compared to the Chord. If not I switch back to the Chord again.
AQ I2S needs a min. of 125 hours in my experience.
I have used AQ Vodka, Coffee, Firebird48 and Dragon48 between PST and DS in the past. I am using Dragon48 with MK2 now, and it is the best in I2S, but for the price I think Coffee is a great deal.
