I love my system more than ever, and @vmax tweaks really helped! I have implemented many tweaks from him including two PC cords with the golden wrappers, plus the tuning rings on them. There is no question they sound better. Well, you can be a tweaker and enjoy the music too.

Don’t know if I’m wasting my time tweaking or I’m investing it. For sure I’m listening to music as never done before not only in an analytical sense also for what concern the pure joy, the engagement and the peace music can bring to my soul (and mental health).
At the end of the day my collection of LPs and CDs is growing more than my tweak fetish objects.
We all love music and there is no difference between tweaking and non-tweaking guys, we simply are all part of the same hobby family. I don’t think anybody here use a “Walkman” in their room all night long, isn’t it?
Hey Dirk, thank you for your posts about records on the dedicated thread, they were inspirational for my purchases several times. In the same way I thank Vmax for his tweaks. Both of you are essential resources of this forum.
Not to mention the humor of VKennedy and Al, of course! Like pearls, sometimes.

It was buried in P20 and P15 Generator Tweaks link probably. It is a long thread that includes many vmax’s tweaks in it. The 3M tuning ring came after his 3M absorbent sheet as I remember.
Your Stealth cable started the whole ring thing now you mentioned it.

The tuning rings were developed as part of the Cable Sutra Thread and evaluating a Stealth cable. Intrigued that it worked I postulated it was RF and EM absorber disguised as something else.
But it does work on about 50 percent of aftermarket cables especially the larger weave type cables with RF drains and RLC optimization.
Thanks for the correction, and it is another thing you lose when getting older.

Thanks for your opinion. There are plenty of aftermarket cables with mesh shields covered with porous carbon insulation. It is not illegal to run a ground wire without insulation in a home. . All of my tweak’s are linked to engineering principles and hunches. Many tweaks. I tried after Ted Smith alluded to them in a modding DS thread.
If you’re scared of short circuits you better wrap your metal equipment chassis in insulation. It is likely more dangerous than the foil wrapper which is not connected directly at the short circuiting equipment also connected upstream The Foil cable RF antenna shield does not enter the equipment end IEC conductors. . As stated It simply drains off RF in the air to the ground of the home wiring.

Good for you @Vmax. You have made many of us who appreciate the benifits of tweaking very happy. It can make our systems sound so much better. We enjoy our music so much more because tweaking can bring the sound much closer to reality. Keep up the good work.
