Forget about sleeping once it arrives… Although the unit will require burning in, it will prove being addictive right from the start!

Righty, my comments so far have been addressed towards sonics but I haven’t addressed its form factor. This is my first experience with a product from the DirectStream line. In person it impresses me with its simple and modern lines. I also like the pebble like surfaces. Built like a tank looks and feels solid and conveys a feeling of opulence. It just feels like a premium product. I choose black.

Sorry I missed this for so long. The pops/ticks are still present during DSD sample rate changes. They are not consistent, sometimes the same transitions are silent. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next firmware update from Ted.
I wonder if this Roon setting (resync delay) might help?
In device setup, you can select a slight pause “to synchronise to the new format before the music starts”.

That is an excellent suggestion! I forgot that setting was available. The dialog has no scroll bars to remind you more options are available. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I tried all Resync Delay settings with no improvement. I believe it may be my Mac Mini. Unfortunately I don’t have a streamer to test this.
