They have been back up and running already. They have great customer service, awesome team of employees and you won’t be disappointed for the wait. Fit and finish is superb!
$6000 for a USB cable? Would need to be the equivalent of a major component upgrade. But, I get it that each person has a unique approach to system building.
How sad, great people to deal with.
Those footers look cheap but unfortunately I paid $948 for six and thats not including taxes. They work really well in damping and dissipating noise and vibrations though.
Well, I though AQ Dragon power cords are the best match with PSA gear including MK2. I am tempting to get a SR Galileo to try, but with a few Dragons in the system already, I am not sure one Galileo would prove anything.
Nah, I will stay with AQ. I am sure they sound different, and not necessarily one is better than the other (but it could be…).
What a beautiful rack! I used up all my rack space already. If I am adding one more piece I will need a new rack, and Timber Nation is one of top choices for sure!
All those hours on the beach thinking about the SR Galileo cable! It must have been hard for you.
I wish that were true. But I was surprised I missed a few hundred posts on various DS MK2 threads in a few days. That is a good thing!
I do not want to read the BACCH thread for sure, it is growing like weeds.
Welcome home! New SR fuse, Holo RED, BACCH and BACCh and BACCH again, no (good) news about AirLens and Bridge Box still without a name.
A quiet week on the forum…
Since my brother found out his streamer/DAC sounds way better using an external streamer, he will get the Holo Red to try. If you want better sound always keep the noisy streamer away from the DAC. Huge difference!
Well, @dchang05, sometimes it’s best to go home with the girl that took you to the dance. Or something like that. I was intrigued with the possibility of a better power cord as well, but I am slowly getting Dragons. They really don’t wow you, but rather get out of the way and reveal more music. Plus, I like a full loom of the same type. I have now completed my positive self reinforcement review.
Now my brother says the Holo Red may not be good enough. Maybe he will get another Aurender N-10 like the one he sold to get his streamer/DAC or maybe the Aurender N200 instead. The Esoteric N-03T is also is a possibility. The AirLens is out of the question since his Esoteric does not have a I2S input, too bad. He was completely blown away by the sound he heard when we used my Esoteric streamer on his DAC, especially with some of the out of this world sounding DSD 256 files we played! The Esoteric is a formidable DAC, almost as good as my MK 2 DAC.
Maybe he out to just try it first to find out. If not with the wait time he can easily turn it over and spend more money. If he’s happy with the Esoteric app then Lumin is on the table as it’s their app.
What’s his basis for this?
seems that he is comparing to much much more expensive units.
If so then he’s only using the price as the factor as he’s never seen or heard one. Plus any dealer is going to talk against it.
You maybe right. As soon as I get mine I will compare to my Signature Rendu SE. I have my new DH Labs Silver sonic (I think thats the model) ethernet cable all set.
Would like to hear your comparison with Rendu SE as thats what I have.
@brian.fitterman is right. Remember, he had the Aurender N10 for quite a while before he traded it in and he knows how good that sounds. He doesn’t believe he can get that kind of quality for 1/10th the cost. Plus he can afford to paid a bit more to feel he is close to matching his DAC in quality and performance.
It’s a race to see who gets their Red first. I will test it briefly against our Sig Rendu. After that it’s going to be the endpoint for my headphone rig.
