The new PS Audio branded house icon for the forum home link is adorbs

Love the new home logo in dark mode, Paul. Thanks!

Yes it is. Fortunately, I’ve only had the few cosmetic issues.

BTW, thanks for fixing the ‘last visit’ issue and I think the ‘forum home’ icon with the imbedded PSA logo is a great improvement on the previous technicolour one.

Very appropriate!

Wonderfully fun logo.

Your comment got me thinking about why I need a special ‘dark mode’ extension when I’ve already set ‘dark mode’ in my (Chrome) browser settings. So I did a little research and it appears that the ‘dark mode’ setting for your device is only honoured by web pages that have a ‘dark mode’ page to present! It appears that these browser extensions somehow analyse a page’s colour scheme and, on the fly, take a guess at matching the scheme to a ‘dark mode’ equivalent and render the page accordingly. I prefer not to use extensions unless absolutely necessary (I’m a believer in the KISS principal). So for you Chrome users, I found this little ‘feature’. Typing ‘chrome://flags’ into the address bar takes you to the ‘Experiments’ page. Searching for ‘dark’, brings up the following.

After setting the pull-down to ‘Enabled’ (and restarting the Chrome instance) as I have, you’ll see all pages like those at PS Audio and Discourse in dark mode. I don’t know if this overrides the ‘dark mode’ provided by pages that have one. I’m going to try this out for a while anyway.

Edit: I’ve been playing around with it and it looks like it does override ‘proper’ dark mode rendering and in some cases makes it unattractive. I guess that’s why there’re so many extensions available.

Thanks everyone for working with me. Appreciate the help and guidance.

I reported to you that on refreshing the page it jumps to another page. Still not fixed!

Yeah, I can confirm what Dirk is saying. A quick search shows that Discourse will take a user back to the main page on a refresh if their session expired or they are logged out. But we seem to be getting this in current sessions and logged in.

For example. if I refresh this page I am taken back to the front page of forums. I think something you did has broken the session save-state.

If I were to take a guess, I think its because this is now running in an iframe (which are really frowned upon these days for slower speeds, security issues, and bad SEO for you) so that you can display the ps-audio main page banner at the top

Dave, my take on it exactly…

On Android, in the lower right corner, the “upload a photo” icon is obscured by the Ai circle, so I can’t upload a photo from my phone.

Tip of the hat for the update and your efforts.

I describe it as a Deja Vu moment. It has me revisiting 2014 posts.

I emailed the screencap from my phone to my computer so I could upload…

That looks like an issue. Having worked for a software company at one point for almost 10 years I know not to say “it’s a problem” but one thing I did discover is fixing stuff is that when you fix one thing sometimes another thing gets broken.

How’s that for a run-on sentence?

Right…AI icon is covering the upload feature. Had to copy&paste my photos.
