Has someone already experience in using the Furutech NCF Booster-Brace Plug? I am intending to use it on the wall socket/plug with the AQ Dragon HC for the AQ Niagara 5000.
But also thinking about a second on the Farad Super10 powering my streamer.

What does it do?
It’s an adjustable cable support.
It’s like an anemone for your clownfish power cable plug. Loneliness abolished!
It does a few things. There is a summary at Furutech NCF Booster-Brace-Single NCF Connector Support | FURUTECH.bg for example.
@luca.pelliccioli used a similar one in the past if I remember right, and hopefully he is still a member of this forum to answer. ![]()
Still here, Donald. Don’t worry…. Just a little bit busy.
the NCF Boosters I own are able to impact the sound, not always in a good way though. I use them just as cable lifters but with fiber and optical wires from MSB Digital Director to MSB DAC. I don’t like them used with power cords or SC. They “boost” too much IMO.
Less is more (sometimes).
So I guess you are using this then: NCF Booster - Furutech ?
Which is not the same as the brace plug.
Yes for power cords (mainly under the plug into the IEC inlet) and this one
for interconnects as cable lifters
I see - though the brace plug has a somewhat different effect it seems. Maybe I can compare them side by side.
I agree! Just a min. Support below the power plugs sound better to me. Good to hear from you again!
I have a booster brace that I’ve tried in a couple different spots over the last 4 or 5 years. I don’t recall noticing much sq impact. I had issues with it coming unstuck despite proper surface prep, since it’s held to the chassis with two tiny 3m pads. It’s probably fine with more flexible cables, but it struggles with cables that are both heavy and stiff.
Ok so looking forward when using on my AQ Dragon HC ![]()
Hello. I have the Furutech booster brace, which stabilizes the plug somewhat. My Furutech Vault power strip already has integrated retainers, and the plugs fit very securely. There are also retaining clips for the sockets available on Amazon. The C-Lock clamp the plugs very securely in a vise. There are various sockets available, as well as screw-in fittings made of POM or stainless steel for retrofitting to any socket.
Welcome back! Do you think these “rings” solidify SQ in your system? Some think they compress the sound a bit. I like supports below the plugs, that seems to give the best balance in SQ; in my system anyway.
Hi Donald, with C-Lock connectors, plugs are screwed in tightly, and vibrations don’t stand a chance. I’ve been taking a break from making changes to my home hi-fi system. Right now, I’m focusing on the car audio system. Next month, I want to upgrade my 2-way front system to a 3-way system. This will require removing the dashboard and integrating midrange speakers. I also want to integrate a Fiio DAP player instead of using my phone for streaming. I also want a high-quality USB cable to connect the player to my DSP. I was thinking of an Audioquest Diamond, USB-C to USB mini. Once I have that, I’ll be finished and maybe even enter a car audio SQ competition for fun. I’m still considering what other upgrades I can make.
Cheers, Andreas

How did you perceive the sound improvements with the Furutech booster brace ?
It’s been a while since I added the booster brace. I think the effect is similar to the NCF connectors: a bit more darkness and quieter sound.
Used it today on the wall socket with AQ Dragon HC, but the bracer isn’t snug fitting the power cord. Is that normal behavior ?
