My hero!
We might need to arrange a listening weekend once the remodel and room is set up. Have extra bedrooms for guests.
How I wish I lived near your house! Or at least in the same state. If only on the same continent…
This is just a guess but I’m sure the list of Kyomi customers that get at home demo gear is small. I would also guess that you and @aangen would be number 1 and 2 on that list. Just call George.
*this is my own opinion and is not an attempt to steal anyone’s story. It is also not in anyway an attempt to sabotage potential field trips. Enjoy the thread.
Luckily it is compact enough to stow away inside AV cabinets.
*This is my opinion and not @aangen or any other forum members.
I am thinking hard, trying to remember if I have actually tested something from Kyomi without paying for it first. A CAD ground block and an Ideon Audio Absolute Epsilon DAC. I bought the CAD but oddly passed on the DAC. That was a huge surprise to me. But as we all know, with just ones and zeros to convert to analog, all DACs sound the same.
I was sort of hoping the MK2 was going to look like this.
(In Silver for Vince)
IMO nicely played.
I like the new profile image
That’s me after watching the Bears. I’d fire all the coaches first thing tomorrow.
Thats me the past 5 years watching the giants.
“Serenity now, insanity later!” We football fans all gluttons for punishment.
I’m thinking if I just listen to music all day Sunday I’d be so much happier.
Then I assume you are fully aware of what “Jets” stands for? (And the Mets for that matter also?) (I can’t remember who I typed with a while back)
Day #12: the smile on my face is growing stronger and stronger every day with the improvement in sound quality.
The last quality I’m experiencing is that kind of realism and most of all music has become wonderfully liquid.
I don’t remember how many days I had PZ already, but I am having wonderful liquid everyday too, whether it’s in me (Mai Tai) or I’m in it (Pacific ocean)
Let your soul soak in, that’s the way!
Have a Mai Tai for me!
I should have just turned the half month mark, and the ups and downs seem to have gone. Daily improvements are still easily audible but I have the impression of a more linear growth cycle.
What other “older” owners are experiencing?
I also sent a few questions to the “other Paul” about DC offset and EMI pollution, because I don’t want to use a conditioner between the wall and the PZ. Curious to know if he’s working on something new and useful to clean the mains grid, outside the PZ.
I’ll keep you informed…
Mine has just past 14 days but I cannot tell you a thing about the progress since the last time I heard it was a week ago. Everything is on standby so the burn in is continuing at a slower pace (or not). I will have a unique experience of comparing three-week to one-week SQ.
Has anyone put some footers under it yet? It has been two weeks for many of us already and I can’t believe no one tried it yet. Don’t wait for me.
I’m don’t think footers are going to do much for the PZ. It’s seems gryphon has done a lot to manage vibrations including this SmartStack technology. This was taken from the Gryphon webpage.
SMARTSTACK™
Great attention has been focused upon providing an optimal environment for the HafnerTech™ modules to flourish. HafnerTech™ modules are potted in resin to mitigate vibration and deliver the sort of heirloom build quality expected of all Gryphon components. The chassis themselves are crafted from Dual Layers whose steel cores are clad in aluminum exteriors, delivering vault-like solidity. PowerZone 3 further benefits from SmartStack™ technology, a patented compound developed by Denmark’s MENETA Group. PowerZone 3 is the first product outside the automotive industry to utilize this revolutionary material and PowerZone 3 enclosures benefit from a unique application of this technology, with measurements, calculations and simulations performed by MENETA Group in their Danish R&D facility. The result is a dramatic reduction in mechanical resonance achievable in no other way.
That saves me from buying another set of Stack EQ to try. Sigh!
