What color are the Sabrina’s?
My dealer has the Sabrina’s in Pearl? white, which is a nice looking finish!
Also has the V in black which are gorgeous but curiously wired into one of their big HT systems at the moment

The Avalons (unfortunately I do not recall the model) were second running when I purchased the Genesis V speakers. Entirely different sound, but I did enjoy them immensely at the time.They were driven by Spectral electronics and Transparent power cables.
I also enjoy the Avalons.

Yes, the Avalons were/maybe are in comparison to others often not very direct, dynamic and fast sounding, but very good in holographic imaging. It’s long ago, too, I heard them. Not sure where I’d land in the passive speaker world…except for a magic smaller speaker like the Living Voice OBX RW4 or the Boenecke’s, I’d probably not go passive. Sometime may come the time to scale down…but then I’d have to buy a power amp again…
Yes, now that you mention it as I recall where the Avalons fell short in comparison to the Genesis V was dynamics, not inner detail, but their ability to express properly the upper end of the dynamic range.
They were exceptional at the 3-D imaging soundstage thing. The Avalon’s upper midrange was better than the Genesis V’s as well. Partnering the Genesis V’s with a conrad johnson premier 11a did the trick. That titanium dome midrange used in the Genesis V is relentless.
Yes that’s why pairing a kind of Avalon character with activation and AMT top end is no bad thing. I never was a fan of metal domes, but I know that everything can sound good in a matching design and environment.
Finally there’s nothing you can do than find and try out the kind of compromise character that matches room size, music you listen to and long term preference. Complete adjustment options of an active speaker contribute to a flexibility advantage.

I’d just say every one has their preferences. Obviously I enjoy the Genesis V’s as I’ve had them since they were released. Glad you are happy with your speakers.
Sure, I’d not even say they are different from yours, I’d like a lot of speakers, probably also the Genesis!
4, at least but my Genesis 500’s with Gary Koh’s latest servo amp and driver upgrades are the best in my lot. My Spendor BC-3’s are still awesome though.

I know I’m in the minority but I think the P20 is butt ugly, despite it’s beautiful contribution to the sq… It’s behind the rack.
