Ok guys…at just over 144 hours burn time on the SR Master
What waymancen has said about the SR Master is my same
experience…
So comparing the SR Purple, AM M1 and even the HiFi Tuning Supreme3
1st place Excelllence is the SR Master with outstanding extensions in all frequencies
bass tight well defined yet with good body, the mids are clearly better defined
with body, the highs oh my …the attack (appearance initial onset) decay
as a vapor long lasting. Waymanchen nailed it it in his description
2nd place Hard to place either AM M1 or Sr Purple here as both do very very well in these
categories just different characterizations of music…none detrimental.
While switching back and forth between the SR Purple and the AM M1 fuses
it seemed that the SR Purple might have slightly better snap with bone
and in some cases it seemed the AM M1 would be better…
3rd place The HiFi Tuning Supreme3 has a wonderful warm golden yet detailed
with extension…very pleasing easy to enjoy sound…but not in the same
level of character as the AM M1, SR Purple let alone the new SR Master fuse.
So it comes down to preferences and how much more would you like to spend on
your system to enjoy re-discovering your music is highly personal to each one.
So this next section is for you luca…
Keeping the SR Master in my P15 and switching out the SR Purple for the AM M1
fuse what I hear are richer overtones but with good definition of strings…with extension
and air the 2 fuses are different in what they present. The SR Purple gives you more
bone individual piano string vibrations, textures with some body with very good extensions
while the AM M1 gives a fuller warmer quality with piano string vibration textures…
hf extension can go either way between the two…
I think you have the Sonus Faber (I forget the model type) perhaps with your
Sonus Faber the Sr Purples in your amp or front ends couple with the new SR
Master in your P15 might just be the ticket…(my .00002) as from my understanding
the Sonus Faber are a warm and romantic sound quality.
