Playlist Cover Art Stopped Uploading?

I have been keeping my online DMP playlist up to date for the last few months. For a disc that is unrecognized by the online database (seems like about 1/3 of my collection) I have been editing the title and artist and have been adding the cover art with jpgs copied from Discogs. This has worked fine until the last week or so. I can still edit the title and artist, but, the uploads just stall (progress circle spins forever).

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks, Craig

Hasn’t worked for me for at least three days - same symptoms. I had figured PSA had finally banned me from loading pictures of my pets as artwork, but perhaps they haven’t caught on to me yet after all!

Still not working.

Right…still not working.

Also, today, I had to power cycle/reinitialize my DMP to get it to acknowledge the playlist website. Hoping the next DMP firmware will address this too.

Thanks, Craig

Works now for me. Thanks to whoever did the appropriate server kicking.

Yes… It works again for me as well. Thanks to website support!

I can’t get the ‘Choose Disc’ button to work when adding from Discogs. It’s entirely possible that it’s my browser that is at fault, though it does seem odd that both Firefox and Chrome are behaving the same way. Can anyone else get the ‘Choose Disc’ button to work? Thanks!

Hello All,

We are in the process of moving our web servers to a new host. While we are working hard to make it a seamless transition there have been a few hiccups. We did indeed correct an issue with the track/album editing that was NOT caused by @mylesyonel uploading pet pictures :slight_smile: I’ll take a look at what is going on with the Discogs ‘Choose Disc’ function and post here when I know more or the issue is resolved.

I'm not buying it. I think this is denial grounded in a massive pro-pet conspiracy.

This should now be resolved, I have successfully tested importing album data from Discogs. My apologies for the inconvenience and as always thank you for bringing it to our attention!

A quick note: it does take a moment for all the data to import into our database from Discogs, particularly with the album artwork. This is to be expected at this time but I hope to optimize this process in the near future.

That seems to have fixed it, Kevin. Thank you.

The Playlist has not worked for me for the last 10 days. CDs I played are not registered. I wonder whether there is anything to do with the server move. The display says internet ok, so I presume I am connected. Is there another way to confirm that?

^ I haven’t seen any interruptions in service over the last week and just successfully updated the metadata and artwork on a new CD. Sorry you’re having problems. Perhaps a reboot of the DMP or your router may help.

The Discogs lookup is no longer copying the album artwork over to the Playlist record. The other Discogs metadata still works. You can still upload artwork from your computer but you can’t get it directly from Discogs.

Why do I get the feeling I’m the only one using this feature anymore?

Hi PB

i haven’t tried recently but I’ll have a go over the weekend

I don’t use it. I don’t use the DMP touchscreen. I don’t play with the MyPS>Playlist any more. It matters not to me whether album cover art is displayed, or whatever the MyPS>Playlist is updating or keeping track of. I have a preference for the simplicity of not having a touchscreen, both on DMP and the power plants. And DSJ without a touchscreen was a good design point.

What he said.

It is fun to play with on occasion, but not something I care abut. I would also prefer no touch screen.

I find the touchscreen useful to close the draw as I resume my seat. It beats having to carry around the remote.

A nice dedicated button would do the same, without the visual noise and with a more pleasing tactile experience.

This had me musing worst case scenario;

imagine a “voice” activation system - it brings to mind something along this-

or I saw a person using “face recognition” password on their smartphone;

what fun could be had there!!
