I believe Sohail is referring to the Stack literature that mentions that the EQs convert vibrations into heat. The amount of heat is minimal and certainly not a issue at all.
Actually the other way around i.e. the heat of the component affecting the footers. But this is good to know as well. Thanks!
Nice analogy. To my ears it just sounds settled. Miles Davis 54 The Prestige Recordings sounds just right at the moment. I just inserted a RAL HDMI cable. This one fits nice and tight too. No regrets.
I prefer three as they define a plane. I have three under all my components except for the Vitus RI-101 MkII, where four made a difference. The Vitus feet sit directly on the AUVA EQ 2 footers, providing for a bit more of a settled sound than directly under the chassis bottom plate.
Heat is not an issue IME with the Stack AUVA EQ footers. As for as placement try under the existing feet and then the chassis bottom plate. Your ears will tell you what’s best.
" vibration converted to heat"----think of this as theoretical. The heat will be immeasurable without lab grade instruments.
Weeks later:
Jay’s CDT2Mk3 vs Bluesound Node to DSD MK1/APS upgrades
PS Audio DSD MK1 with APS transformers, Jay’s to DSD via PS Audio I2S 12
PS Audio DSD MK1 etc with Zu Audio Event coax to Node
Node wins easily.
Go figure.
Ha!
Inserting a RAL HDMMI/I2S from a Jays CDT3 to DSD Mk1 nude (no mods) helped things along here. I have yet to insert the Voodoo Isopod thingys in place of the Stack thingys, just busy re-organizing Classical vinyl.
Did I mention I have a Node 2i out there for sale. See the market[place for details.
