Ally Venable is a Texas blues/rock guitarist. It will be my first spin too. Good looking girl with a Les Paul, so I figured it was worth a shot!

Something of a prodigy a few years back, I gather…
Something like that. Bio says she started playing at 12 and cut an EP at 14. She will be 24 in a couple of weeks.

…and Joe Bonamassa (not that I would place him in the same league as Mr. Guy 
).
Joe’s a great technical player but I find his playing to be mostly soulless even live. Felt the same way about Jeff Beck.
Bonamassa is more of a technician in my mind. I have seen him twice and wouldn’t go out of my way to see him again. I have also seen Jeff Beck several times over the years and only once felt like he was a little less involved live. The other times it was a master class in tearing your face off with blazing guitar work.

Yup, I upgraded to Apex. I’ve only had the newly ‘Apexed’ Rossini in my system since Friday lunchtime, but I’m already liking what I’m hearing!
I’m looking forward to hearing how the sound evolves during the (200+ hours) break in period…

How long was your Rossini at the “Doctor” getting upgraded?
I am hoping to drop off my Bartók in the morning and picking it up at the end of the same day.
That may be a tall order…
My dealer did well (I thought) to undertake the Apex upgrade and deliver the unit back to me within 48 hours.
Of course, it’s up to your dealer and their current workflow…
Anyway, I hope that you’re happy with your newly ‘Apexed’ Bartok, whenever the upgrade is completed…
