I find it interesting that the left speaker is reflected in the rug!

You guys need to look back through the precursor threads - this was an imagined rendering of one of the AN series, which preceeded the FR’s. The FR’s do not look like this.

Maybe …have you seen them in person?
Anyhow, that’s exactly like they should look…

They waxed the rug to a mirror shine before the picture was taken

Polish a rug ? That’s a new concept…hmm

Growing up my mother used to always say to me, “I want this rug polished until I can see the reflection of the speaker in it” …i think most people can relate

I like it. I like the idea of the legs but a slight change in their shape could help make into creating a more coherent design as a whole. Definitely keep the wood finish but I don’t care too much for the mid-century’ish look. It is too much of a departure from the speaker’s design idea. I like contrast in design but wood and brass-like joints are enough to create that. When you add another layer-like mid-century here then I believe it is too much of a distraction. Just my 2cents. Stay with wood, stay classical but without adding a “conceptual design” layer again, like mid-century here. Sorry for the terrible writing skills. I am an ESL.

Not sure what that exactly means i.e. you, not hoping to achieve something that looks like a speaker? I hope you don’t fall into the cliché of creating speakers that have to look like a beautiful piece of furniture that are going to display as a great visual in the living room. A speaker has to look like a speaker! But you can certainly make it beautiful without getting into the “furniture analogy.” I hope you get the nuance in what I am trying to say here.

Considering that PS Audio went with an outside design firm for the speakers and I believe that phase has been completed (or nearly so), I’m guessing Paul won’t be making too many significant changes at this point.

The post of Paul’s that you referenced is a year and a half old. We know a number of changes have been made since then so I would not expect the speaker to look the same as in that post. He has been sworn to secrecy, more or less, so details are limited.
