Synergistic Research ORANGE Quantum Fuse Vs Blue Fuse

Ok leave well enough alone then…I’ve been there done that with
Emotiva XSP1 Gen 2 pre…
Thanks Brett

My fuses have reached at least 300 hours. They are indeed fabulous! My system rocks!:sunglasses:

I’m diving in headlong, I bought eleven SR Orange for my components; I can still hear the vacuum through the monitor to my back account. Damn!

Eleven ? Wow…
What all have you got…?

Glad I could be of encouragement…

I’m just focused on the living room system right now. I still need to order fuses for the REL subwoofers.

Man o’ days…I don’t envy your challenge determining
which way each fuse should face for best performance and
sound…

Happy cooking (burning in)…It will be worth it though…

My one and only SR Orange resides in the Farad Super3 feeding the Matrix and given the results it seems like that could be the most important place…

There will be more improvements when you upgrade your amp
preamp fuses … :grinning:

I accept that these fuses can improve the sound. What I can’t understand is what can be so different about them internally, to accomplish that.

Better conductivity, plus dampening of the fuse case…
The better the conductivity the better the ebb and flow of
power feeding our equipment…

Also fuses are the power gatekeepers of our gear’s power input.
If the fuses conductivity is less you experience a “chokehold” replace this with higher of conductivity and power ebbs and flows more freely.

Happy trails

When they first introduced the Orange, they were on sale, 3 for 2.
I bought some and yesterday, months later, the one in my DMP blew.
I replaced it with a Blue that I had. I hear no difference, Orange to Blue. Maybe old ears.

Thanks Guys, that’s very helpful!

Accidental blown fuse on the BHK Preamp by a mistake that I own = new Synergistic Research Orange Fuse now inside the BHK! Another topic I hope I can contribute to!

Not so ouch fun…but did you ever see eeeeny teeeny micro
pin size white sparklers in a small signal tube?

I sure did when I plugged an RCA 6u8 tube into a 12ax7 socket
by mistake…quite a light show…thank goodness no bang from
that buck.

Hope yours turns out ok after all!!

I swapped out the stock fuse in my McIntosh integrated for an Orange fuse and was both surprised and pleased with the results. I’m wondering if I can expect the same results if I installed an Orange fuse in my P3 Power Plant.
