System Photos!

Leuk om een Nederlandse reactie te zien hier :grinning:. Niet verwacht.
Nice to see a Dutch response. Didn’t expect that.

I’m not a audiophile, but I just like good sound.
To me it is mainly my living room instead of a man cave

I mostly use it with my Apple TV (3th gen) for watching youtube with an optical cable.
And audio listening with Spotify Connect.
It is also connected to my tv receiver (Ziggo Horizon) with an optical cable. And I don’t notice any issues with lip-sync with both of them.

Paul (and many others) like to have the speakers further into the room for more audio depth.
I made a compromise in here, because I don’t like the voice from the news presenter coming from behind the tv :see_no_evil:. So it is a compromise between serious audio listening with audio depth and the appearance of the sound coming out of the tv (not behind).

Hi Allam, so gal I am not the only one who likes to enjoy the A/V sound transmitted through the stereo speakers. I have a Stellar Gain Cell DAC in my home office with an active pair of Yamaha MSP-5 monitors hooked up to my Mac.

In the living room I have a Yamaha A/V receiver with a pair of Canton Vento’s, bi-amped, Yamaha BD player (Excellent playback of CD’s) Thorens TD105 turntable and also an Apple TV 3rd generation and KPN set top box. All connected through HDMI.

I hesitated pulling my Bass port Canton Vento’s from the wall either (lack of real estate). But I tell you, it’s so rewarding, now I am fighting over each cm real estate, but you can clearly hear improvement.

I am seriously contemplating upgrading he system in the living room But my BD / CD player is such a perfect match (optically and audible) to the A/V receiver I yet have to fid a system offering the compromise between looks and SQ for our Dutch living room.

I am contemplating to replace it with a Stellar set an HDMI DAC, but PS Audio had to drop the disk players for a while and I want to wait til they release a Stellar CD / DSD player. Till then our system in the living room sounds stellar enough for us.

Hi Philipp, that room looks like work, not like easy listening. Certainly a really good looking place for a studio and I trust it will sound very good too. But I prefer to be able to look outside of my widows and enjoy the view while listening to beautiful music.

Rega RP10 is in the house! Should be a great all-vinyl listening weekend. Can’t wait to hear all the crazy nuances from this deck. My dream table is here.

Looking great! Have fun this weekend. Gotta love new gear right before the weekend!

Wow indeed a dream to come true. Please update us on your experience, it is indeed a marvel of sound engineering, I watched the complete REGA factory tour with Micheal Bremer. I looked at this TT. However, I like the new Thorens TD1601 also very much. Same price range when you count synergetic cartridge and phono stage. Now it is our chance to hear a real users opinion.

Initial impressions of the Rega RP10 in my system simply defy words to convey the emotions created by this electromechanical masterpiece. Roy Gandy and company are magicians. There’s no other way to describe just how moving this experience is to me. If you don’t have vinyl you really are missing something very difficult to quantify. I’m an engineer and I don’t completely understand how such “antiquated” technology can sound so satisfying but it does never the less.

I feel the same way about mine. In my system, the RP10 was the centerpiece. It was going to be an analog only system. But now it’s anything but that. The kewl thing is, I play an LP on the RP10, and then play a 24/96 recording of it on all my digital gear. The RP10 wins, but my oh my is digital ever close, and getting closer. I wonder if I went beyond 24/96 if it would be a tie?

I take the cover off when I play a record. I read that it sounds way better when you actually remove the cover and the surrounding structure. I’ll probably never know since I have not been willing to try that yet. I would be sad if it did sound way better as I like covering it when not in use.

The object based Sony setup of the Harbeth speakers is very cool. I never did ask him for a demo yesterday of it. I was too blown away by what he let me hear on his 5 Channel Sony/BHK rig. I’ll drop him a personal thank you note via his email in the next day or two. “And I Hope Your Feeling Better” Paul.

How does “Der PlattenSpieler 2” from Bauer Audio sound. Stefan Gelrich Akustik in Karlsruhe a PS Audio and Bauer Audio dealer did a nice presentation of the Bauer Audio turntable.
Would you mind posting the picture?

it sounds sweet, precise and open.

I can imagine you also invested in the Bauer tonearm. Looks great too.

have you tried to experiment with vibration control of your amps and separately your tubes?

How well does the Electra centre blend with the Utopias? I have the older Alto Utopia Be, and wondered how well an Electra Be or Sopra centre might go with them

canary are so heavy that they dont need any vibration control feets if thats what you mean.
i cant understand what you meen saying about separation of tubes.

well its not at the same price range but it goes pretty well with the vivas.
of course the best much would be another viva for the center but until then electra is doing a good job.

Most of my tube loving friends also put vibration damping products directly on the tubes…I meant separately for the Tubes and separately for the amps…

give me a product example.

Beautiful!
