System Photos!

Are you referring to the AVM 50v 2/D2v or your “new” AVM 60?

Hi @aangen

Yes, It’s an Anthem AVM60 with Anthem PVA7 Amp. That pair is also very good for pure audio too. Especially when streaming through the Direct Stream DAC.

BTW, I also have the tuner that was sold with the amp. That will be a restore for another day.

Gorgeous aesthetic…

Cheers.

AVM60. The D2v was as well. I have no experience with other models but I trust Anthem.

10-4.

Thanks again.

Greetings from Spain!
I recently added the BHK preamp and the stellar phono preamp. What a terrific set up.
I have no adjectives to describe how satisfied I am to have bet on PS AUDIO electronics instead of better-known companys here in Europe.
Now it’s time to find a good speakers for my little room.

Ostia Gepe, qué combo! Congratulations. Have you got a short list / list of requirements for that new speaker search?

Beautiful setup. How do you like those JBL’s tucked in the corner there? I’m familiar with the PMC’s you have setup.

Thanks! The peakers are the 4429. Honestly, I think they are not the most suitable for my room. I get a lot of hearing fatigue and uncontrolled bass.
PMC 25.23 are a fantastic spakers. They offer a lovely sound with a very powerful and controlled bass for its small size. My current set up deserves better, but I don’t want to go wrong again :sollozo:

Gracias!
It is difficult to choose among so many options. My next speakers should not be very large (About HxWxD: 100x20x40 cm) and front ported speakers (Easy to locate)
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Really nice set up. Beautiful PCM transmission line speakers.

The only real petty is:

I trust this has nothing to do with sound quality, but apparently you spent a lot of money on PS Audio gear to optically match the components. All perfectly stacked up. But, that one Stellar Phono Preamp is in a differently shape enclosure.

Although that phono preamp is considered Signature (BHK) quality it’s not possible to purchase it in such enclosure and you are left with no choice than to break the looks of your otherwise sound quality and visually matched system from the same company.

For example Linn offers it’s Radikal power supply for the phono preamp and DC turntable motor in the Klimax or Akurate enclosure Enabling its customers to match style with the other electronics or to their own taste.

Maybe PS Audio might consider one day to release the phono preamp in the Signature line (BHK/Direct Stream) enclosure and allow you to upgrade for a bargain that reflects your willingness to invest in PS Audio equipment.

Not arguing or disputing in any way, just offering another opinion. I like the physical looks of the coordinated different stacked boxes. To my eye the Stella reflects the shapes of the other components aesthetically, in good way. Although, I don’t have a vinyl set up in my system, I like the looks of the phono pre in this system. Also, if it is a new addition, that one wants to admire, it has a slight physical distinctness over the other components that says, I’m here.

It’s a taste thing and your arguments must have been one of the reason the Stellar was positioned in that BHK/Direct Stream stack.

Nevertheless it would not cost PS Audio a major R&D budget to fit those electronics into a BHK enclosure to allow customers to match with either “Signature” or “Stellar” product line to their own taste. A small gesture of PS Audio to those that already invested serious money into either of these product lines.

Visited my friend, he had Martin Logan’s SL3 If I remember correctly. He drives them by either the Accuphase Integrated or Russian made Tube Monoblocks via a passive pre amp. We listened to SACD‘s and InAkustik High Quality CD’s and Redbook CD’s. It was a fun time, sounded so good.

My main 2-channel listening system is in my living room, which is shown in the photos below. One of the best things about the room is that it is large enough to be able to move the speakers out from the walls/windows so that early reflections aren’t a big problem. Also, the ceiling is angled and vaulted and there are large openings to the dining room behind the primary listening area and to a large front hallway and stairs off of the back right part of the room; these openings and high ceilings make for tight, non-boomy bass even without bass traps or other room treatments.

The only obvious audio gear in view in the room are the Thiel CS-2.2 speakers. All of the electronics are in a custom-built cabinet in a wall of cabinets on the right side of the room (see photo). This arrangement is great for allowing the room to actually function as a “living” room, although it does necessitate fairly long speaker cables. In addition to the Thiel speakers, my gear includes the following:

Stellar Gain Cell DAC/Preamp
Stellar M700 Monoblock amplifiers
Thorens TD-160 turntable
Grado MCZ cartridge
Bryston .5B preamp (used only as MM phono pre)
Sony X55ES CD Player (with DAC bypassed and linked to SGCD via Lifatec optical cable)
Sonos Zoneplayer 90 (with Shunyata Venom power cord and Cardas Clear digital coax to SGCD)
Shunyata Research Venom PS8 Power Distribution with Voodoo Black Magic 20amp power cord
Cardas Parsec balanced XLR interconnects from SGCD to M700 amps
Straight Wire Encore speaker cables
Audience Forte F3 power cords to SGCD and M700 monoblocks
